Haneul lets out an exasperated breath and tosses his mobile phone to the side, hand slapping against his forehead. He needs to detangle himself from the underground life since he'd soon start a permanent job at the hospital and even Dae Ho would be out of it when he starts his model career. And he couldn't further risk getting his actions exposed, knowing it would blow up the media platforms since he's an heir of the Kim family.

"Uncle Hannie, why aren't you playing with me?" Kim Jae Hoon asks, his lips jutting out, a giant Iron-Man figure in his small hands. They're in Hoon's playroom, all sorts of games boards and toys scattered on the floor. The room is painted red and blue, Marvel posters plastered over it.

"I'm sorry, I'll play with you now," Haneul says, reaching out for a Hulk figure lying on the carpeted floor. "Hulk smash!" He mimics the character's thick and deep voice, colliding it with the LEGO building the two built together.

"Uncle Hannie, that's cheating! You can smash only when Iron-Man orders it." Jae Hoon waves his figure in front of Haneul with a frown.

The uncle chuckles settling down the toy. "I'm sorry Mr. Iron-Man, Hulk will follow your orders from now."

Kim Hanbin enters the room, eyes scanning the toys thrown everywhere. "Hoonie, what did I say about placing the toys in their place?" He raises a sharp brow, brown fringes falling over his forehead.

"Uncle Hannie said we can put them all back later."

"Of course he did," Hanbin deadpans, "Haneul you're supposed to be disciplining him, not encouraging his bad habits," he reprimands his brother with a disapproving look.

"Hyung, you're his father, you're supposed to discipline him. I'm his uncle, I'm supposed to spoil him. That's how it works." Haneul shrugs, giving a sickening, sweet smile.

A petite woman with her hair tied in a bun, feline eyes and pillowy lips giggles from behind her husband after hearing Haneul's words. "Dinner will be ready in an hour, don't leave," she tells the red-haired doctor.

"Alright."

"Did you get your suit ready?" Hanbin asks.

"What suit?" Haneul feigns ignorance.

"Haneul," the older warns, his tone serious, "you better attend the charity event, it's organized by our family. Appa will be angry if you skip again."

Haneul scoffs, "I don't think he'll notice if he has his well-behaved son with him already."

"You know that's not true," Hanbin counters folding his arms and leaning on the doorframe. "Your stubbornness is what makes it harder for you both to get along."

"Me? I'm stubborn?" Haneul laughs humorlessly. "Just because I didn't agree to a few things father asked me for, doesn't mean I'm stubborn, hyung. I have a freedom of choice and I'll not let anyone deprive me of that." Haneul starts walking out of the room, Hoon trailing behind him, along with Hanbin, who has yet to convince the doctor.
