The Song of the Lost- Dark waters

Chapter 19- The moon has awoken

Once the party ended Kida met up with Harry outside of the castle.
**Let's go!** she said.
**I should check up on Mal first. Make sure that she's feeling better.**
**Uma told me that she left earlier and I told her to go check up on her and stay with her until we return. We should be back by dawn.**
**Alright then..**
**I'm coming too.** a third voice said startling the two of them.
**CJ?** They said simultaneously.
**I don't know where you're going but it seems serious. You'll need my help.**
Kida sighed and hugged CJ.
**We're going back to that cave. A creature saved Harry and I need to know who it was.**
**Who do you think it was?**
**Can we please just hurry and you'll understand once we get there?**
Kida was really impatient and the brothers could see that she was afraid of something. They didn't question her as they left.
Once they got to the cave Kida cautiously reached the shore looking above the water trying to spot the creature again. She waited for a few minutes but nothing happened. She then began humming a melody. A lullaby she often heard during her childhood before going to sleep each night. Whenever she felt alone or had to make an important decision, she would sing the song. She found it reasurring and conforting. The pain she felt from her loss made her stronger. That person is the one that kept her head above the water all these years. Her train of thoughts vanished as she heard the familiar voice she's been waiting for years. A dim blue light shone right below the water a few meters away from them. The cave was lit up by the moon. The moonlight hit the water creature as it emerged from the water and transformed into a beautiful woman. Kida couldn't believe her eyes. It was her. The person she missed so much and loved deeply.
**Mother!** Her voice was breaking and tears escaped from her eyes and down her cheeks.
Harry was confused but CJ took him by the hand and pulled him a few meters away as she whispered.
**Her mother died many years ago. She was sick. Her father often told her that when a ruler with a golden heart dies, their soul is placed into the stones you saw outside in the sky. But her mother didn't go there. They thought that her soul had been lost but she was here the entire time.**
**My child!** The woman said approaching Kida. **You have found yourself in this journey. You have become a strong woman, just as I have always known you'd turn up to be. I am so proud of you! You have made friends. You helped them establish peace in our Kingdom! From now on you will be the Queen this city needed ever since its birth.**
Kida reached out to her, grabbed her hand and pulled her down, her feet touching the ground.
**Why didn't you go to the stones?**
**I knew there would be one day when you'd need me. I had to stay here until I made sure that you are safe.**
**Thank you! Mother! I love you!** Kida said through sobs while hugging her mother. She missed her embrace, her sweet voice, her beautiful figure.
**My child, I have to go now. The others are waiting for me.**
**No! Please don't leave me!**
**I won't leave you. I have always been with you. Through the song. Everytime you sang it, I could feel what you were going through. I never left your side, Kida! And this will never change! I love you. And I am grateful for your friends. They are the ones that helped you find yourself and they raised you. Mal, Harry, Calista Jane and Uma. Don't let go of this friendship. You are now family. And family is what matters.**
With that her soul floated into the sky where a new rock started glowing blue. The rocks started moving in circles as the moon shone brighter than ever before. The moon has awoken and the dark of night was now filled with the bright blue moonlight.
CJ and Harry reached Kida.
**Are you alright?** CJ asked.
**Now I am. Thank you for coming with me. Let's go home now.** She gave them a reassuring smile and the three of them made their way home.

//During the cave event, with Mal and Uma//
Mal has just gotten back to her room to notice that someone was already there, petting Bell.
**Where the hell have you been? I was worried sick!**
**I talked with the Master.**
**Why? What happened?**
Mal decided to skip the 'darkness in her' part and tell her the news.
**I wasn't feeling well and I thought it could be something. I went to him in order to ask him what he thought it was.**
**So what was it?**
Mal took Uma's hand and smiled. She breathed in and told her.

//With Harry, Kida and CJ back at the castle//
**Let's go check up on Mal.** Harry said heading to her bedroom.
He opened the door to find Uma and Mal jumping in the air like two kids laughing and smiling.
**Woah! What's up with you?** Harry asked not believing what was in front of him.
Mal ran up to him and jumped into his arms. He held her tight before letting her down.
**There's something I need to tell you.** she paused.
**What is it?**
**I found out why I wasn't feeling well earlier. I thought it was impossible because of the wound but Bell here saved my life. And not only mine.**
**I'm confused.** CJ confessed.
**I'm not. Mal, you're saying what I think you're saying?** Kida asked her friend. She smiled and Kida ran up to her.
**I'm so happy for you!!**
**What is going on?** Harry and CJ were getting annoyed at this point.
Mal came close to Harry and taking his hands she said.
**I'm pregnant.**
Harry's eyes grew wide and took a second to process what was happening to him.
**We're having a child?**
She nodded. He grabbed her and held her in the air. He then spinned them around and kissed her deeply.
**I love you!**
**I love you too!**
They said through kisses. When they pulled apart CJ congratulated them as well and they all spent the last few hours of the night in Mal's bedroom talking about everything that happened with them in their journey and other unrelated things.
**Wait a minute.. I'm going to be an aunt??** CJ realised earning lots of giggles from the group.
