Chapter 10 - Lucinda's Plan

Y/n POV

The next day was hard to get up to because this is what I was greeted to.

"Well, good morning sleeping beauty."

Lucinda says.

"Thanks, I....Morning?"

I ask.

"Yep morning. You slept in past the night and now we can't get out. The wolves also came in and took three guards and slaughtered them. They even used their bones for toothpicks."

Lucinda says it casually.

"WHAT!? WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE THEM UP!?"

I asked shocked.

Lucinda and Aphmau start giggling.

"Heeeehahahahhah! Oh, priceless, the look on your face when I said they were dead. Heh heh! Don't worry sweet buns, your boyfriends are safe over there. One of them is asleep too, I think."

Lucinda says amused.

I gave her the straight face

"You're a jerk, Lucinda."

I said with a glare but a small smirk crept up my face.

"Heheheheh! I'm a witch. Playing pranks is kind of in my blood. Oh, and don't worry you didn't sleep in - this is also MY freedom on the line here. I wouldn't let you sleep in for this. Now, wake up and eat some of that spider eye soup."

Lucinda gestured.

"Ew.... no! It smells....disgusting!"

I say looking at the soup.

"Well, tough luck. I hate to tell this to you sister, but that soup kind of has the ONLY ingredients I was able to scrounge up, annnnnd....those ingredients happen to be necessary for our escape plan. So eat up!"

Lucinda says.

"Really?"

I ask.

"Yes, really, It's a part of the ritual I'm going to perform on you."

Lucinda says.

"Me!? Why me!?"

I asked shocked.

"Why you? Well, first off they know my magic well enough to trace it. So, if I get close to the Barrier Magicks user he'll know I've escaped. Second, you're the only one in this cell that is close enough to me to be in range to perform the ritual, oh also you're not beaten up."

Lucinda says pointing at Logan.

"Plus, Aphmau is taking care of Malachi."

Lucinda points out.

"Fine, I get your point."

I say.

"Good. Now eat up that spider eye soup. While you're at it you might want to check up on your ghost friend-niece and your friend over there. There's a chance that you might get caught and not come back. So, you are okay with that then come talk to me when you're done with your soup."

Lucinda gestures towards the soup...Again...

I start walking to Logan checking on him, he starts coughing.

"Y/n..?"

Logan asks.

"I'm...all alright. I've definitely been better. Lucinda's potions are only able to help so much seeing as she's using scraps she finds around here. Maybe I'd be feeling better if she was at her full power..."
