Raccoon City || (Leon Kennedy X Reader) BOOK 1

Chapter Four

Leon quickly leans over me, staring at me, finally understanding what is happening. I watch as he looks back on the thing, he gets up and gives me a hand. We both aim our guns at it, hoping we don't die. I then notice it's eyes, I watch Leon about to shoot his shotgun, I then put my hand up and lower his weapon.

I then make a shush motion with my finger, I then point to my eyes. I watch as he nods and slowly walks across the hall, I follow and continue to watch our every movement. I stare at the thing making sure it can't touch us, I then feel Leon grab my hand. He then speeds up a bit, until we're at the door. 

He looks back at me, and swiftly lets go of my hand. I clutch my shotgun and watch the monster, as Leon scans the key card, it makes noise. I turn around and put a bullet in it's head, making Leon quickly push me into the room and finish the job. I watch as he turns to me, seeing him walk towards me. 

I take out my pistol and reload it, I then turn around and shoot the zombie in the head. I turn to Leon, making sure he's alright. I catch my breath and look around, I then notice where the fire is coming from. I watch as he looks in the same direction I'm looking, I then watch him look back to me.

"I'll check where the explosion came from, we'll meet in the lobby." I walk away and hear no word form him, dang that was awkward. I shake my head, wondering why we had to separate like that. I continue shooting my way through, until I start to smell smoke. I continue my path and find the fire, it's spreading more than I thought. As I turn around, I notice a shiny object, I walk over and see the object in a painting. I pull the object, it's needle-like. I tilt my head, wondering what this could be for. As I try to figure out why it's there, something break through the window.

I quickly back away and slam my body into the wall, watching the knife fly pass my face. I exhale and watch the knife hit the wall, I quickly look out the window and see a person running away. I grit my teeth and try to forget about them, I try to calm down and let it go. I turn around and walk towards the dark-oak wall, I pull out the blade and grip the leather handle. I examine the knife, I scoff and put it in my holster pocket.

I turn towards the window, and watch the fire get worse. Before leaving I depart and say one last thing. "Thanks I guess." I exit the hall and continue to go back to the lobby, letting myself remember the steps I took to get here. I grip my pistol and continue to check every corner, I walk back and hear something opening. I look over the railings and spot Leon.

"Leon!" I shout and watch him turn around, he looks at the shifting statue, and then returns his attention back to me.

"I think I opened a passageway! Come down!" I nod, and back away from the railing.

"On it!" I quickly walk towards the stairs, as I come down I watch as Leon waits for the thing to stop shifting. I finally make it down and slowly walk towards him as he jiggles the door knob, making the gated door open slowly. He then shines his flashlight down, I then approach him.

"So it goes underground...Huh. That's it-- that's our way out." He then turns to me, I notice he seems joyful, he then calls out for the officer. "Lieutenant Branagh! Marvin!" I quickly see Marvin laying on his side, before Leon runs up the steps I go over to him. Leon joins my side as I kneel beside Marvin. "It's time to go." 

I watch as his lip twitches, I then examine his wound as Leon speaks to him more. I move his hand a bit, watching his every move.

"Hey, Marvin..." After Leon says that Marvin grunts and sits up, I back away worried from him. "We need to get you to a hospital right now." I stand up and help Marvin rest his body. 

"No-no, save yourself. You both need each other." He then tosses over to his side. I roll my eyes and grab his arm. Leon does the same.

"Come on, We've got you--" Marvin then yells, making Leon and I back away a little. 

"GO!"
