Chapter Fourteen

He quickly cuts off a large piece of his coat that I'm wearing, making the bottom shorter than before. I watch as he ties it around my wound, trying to stop the bleeding. He then shakes his head in disappointment. I look up at his sudden reaction, confused but more worried.

"I need your body to be put on a flat surface, then I'll tie a knot on it." I groan as I feel my bicep flex. "I got you." He picks me up bridal style, letting my head fall onto his chest. I slowly close my eyes, as he walks out.

"L-Leon..." As I say that I feel myself getting weaker from the pain, I then hear yelling and footsteps.

"Y/N!" I open my eyes weakly knowing he's here and safe. "Hey!" Wesker shows no emotion as he takes me away from this place. I feel my body touch a cold surface, I turn to Wesker and see him doing his work. I smirk at him, and he confusingly ties the knot and looks at me, with hands on his knees.

"What?" He says with confusion.

"Are we like best friends now?" He scoffs and gets up, he then helps me sit up. I take a good look around and notice we're in a cable car. I put my hand on my bicep not feeling pain when I touch it, but only when I flex it.

"You could say that. Anyways you need to come with me--" I cut him off before he finishes his sentence.

"No! I promised Leon i'll be here until the end. He saved my life and I've saved his, I don't betray anyone who cares for me." He nods and exits the car, before leaving completely he quickly turns to me.

"After you're done with this mess, I'll find you. Just know who you care for, they could be lying." I tilt my head and watch him leave. I stand up and go over to the controls of the cable car, eyeing the blinking lights and seeing what I'm dealing with. I then hear footsteps, I turn around and aim my pistol, wincing at my sudden movements. I watch as Leon comes in here, I joyfully sigh as he runs over to me.

"Leon--" I'm greeted with a embrace, he quickly uses his arms to wrap around my torso. I hesitantly hug him back, resting my head on his shoulder. I hug him feeling his warmth, I look up to see Ada sitting down look at us. I watch her expression turn cold, which starts to make me wonder. Leon steps back from me, not release his arms just yet.

"I'm glad you're safe, I saw a man taking you and wondered if you--well forget that. I'll get this started up. He then leaves my side and pulls the lever to the car down, I see Ada staring at me with a look. I tilt my head, knowing something feels wrong. 

Leon then turns around, I lean onto the wall and look at the road ahead of us. He pats my shoulder lightly and walks over to Ada. As they talk I reflect on what Wesker said, what did he mean? Who would be lying? Did he just say that because he knows something, I then rest my head onto the car wall.

As I continue to stare out into a daze, I hear nothing coming from those two. I furrow my brows and turn my head. I look at Ada and Leon share a kiss, as I continue to stare I feel my heart race, but not in a good way. I gulp hard against my throat watching as they continue to kiss, I bring my left hand to my heart, feeling a pain I've never felt before. Ada then opens her eyes staring right at me, she smirks as they finish up. I snap my head to the window, knowing who to not trust now.

I then clench my fist onto my shirt, feeling my heart race of both anger and confusion. I then realize what I have to do now, I'll escape with these two, but after I'm leaving and clearing my name for good. I hear shifting, which makes me want to look back more, I slowly shake my head and keep watching the car move forward.
