Raccoon City || (Leon Kennedy X Reader) BOOK 1

Chapter Five

My expression starts so change, my mood does as well. I have a feeling of where this will lead.

"Look, we can still make it out of here all together, if you just gimmie--" We both then see Marvin pull out a pistol on us. Leon backs away and quickly grabs my arm to push me behind him, I grip his forearm as we look at Marvin. 

"It's too late. I tried you know..But I couldn't stop it. We can't let this thing spread, It's on both of you now. Just go." I then walk up a bit more, and start to speak.

"Marvin this is suicide--" Leon then puts his arm in front of me, to make me be quiet and protect me. 

"I understand." Leon then turns around, wrapping an arm around my torso. He's making me follow him, I look down and try not to fight either one of them. As Leon keeps leading me, we enter the gated door, watching as the whole thing closes on us. I clench my fist, as Leon release me. We both stare at the wall until Leon starts speaking up. "I won't let you down Marvin."

I cross my arms and continue to stare at the wall, as I keep my focus I didn't even notice Leon was calling my name. I quickly snap my train of thought and look at him, he looks worried for me. I release the tension from my body and answer him back.

"I'm fine, I just needed a moment to collect my thoughts. Come on, we don't have a lot of time." I lead us both into the room, we continue to look around until we find stairs. "You know, in horror movies going down is not a good thing?" He smirks and gives a small and short laugh.

"....Well you aren't wrong." I sigh and we start to walk down, noticing steam appearing around us. We continue walking until we spot a room, one of the cabinet's are covering the door. I watch as Leon grabs it and moves it out of our way. I walk in first, about to the turn the corner.

"What the--" A massive mutated monster comes out, it swings at me, but before I could do anything Leon pushes me out of the way. I groan as my shoulder hits a sharp metal thing, sticking out of the other cabinets. I wince as I sit up, looking around and seeing Leon getting snatched by the thing. 

I try to move as I feel myself getting dizzy, I then see the monster slam him on the ground, making them both fall onto the lower levels. I mumble under my breath and quickly jump down, I yank Leon's arm making him get up.

"Jesus...words won't work on this thing."  I sarcastically scoff and start to run away from the beast.

"You think?" As we run I notice it catch up, I stop Leon and push him before it gets here. "I'll be bait." I watch Leon turns to me with a shocked expression.

"What no--" I hold up my hand and start to whistle at it. Making it's attention comes toward me. I then grab the knife that got thrown at me earlier. I run at the thing and twirl around it, I do this as Leon keeps shooting. After a few minutes I notice something, I then yell out to him. 

"The yellow eye! That's it's weak point!" He then waves his hand for me to come to him, but the monster is in my way.  I quickly think fast and slide under his or hers..legs. I cut the knee and quickly stand up with my pistol, we both aim at the thing and shoot at the eye. We watch it stumble back and fall to it's death.

We both run up to the railing and look over, to see the massive thing no where to be found. We both then see a metal ladder fall, making us both wonder.

"Somebody is watching us." I catch a breath and remember how I got the knife I'm holding.  I then open up my mouth to speak.

"Yeah, uh..about that...this knife got thrown at me earlier." I then notice that he's gonna be angry.

"What? Why are you telling me this now?" I shrug and I'm at a lost for words, I then shove the knife back into my holster.

"Honestly, It didn't come up."
