"I like you," my eyes widened after realizing what I had just said.

Grayson's eyes instantly darted to mine as his hazel orbs lit up. A smile plastered on his face making me sigh in relief.

"Aw, I like you too-" my smile grew wider as he spoke.

"You're a great friend," he gave me a side hug. "Yeah... I am a great friend," the smile on my face faded, replaced with a fake and hurt one.

"It's better if we get to bed, don't you think," Grayson stood up taking his hoodie off. "Yeah," I chuckled sadly.

I stood off the bed and walked to my closet to grab a pair of pajama shorts and a sweatshirt. "Here, you can borrow mine," Grayson offered, smiling widely.

"I-it's okay, thank you though," I tapped his shoulder in a way of thanking him. I wanted to take his hoodie more than anything, but I knew that if I did, it wouldn't help but make me fall for him more.

I locked the bathroom door and examined myself in the mirror.

Why would you say that you idiot! Of course he wouldn't like you. You could've said you weren't ready to say it yet then make up some lie in the next few days.

I rub my temples, trying to get rid of the negative thoughts that were running through my head.

"You good in there?" Grayson asked knocking on the door which startled me.

"Y-yeah I'm okay, sorry for taking so long," I took off my shirt as fast as I could to put on the sweatshirt.

I wore the shorts then exited the bathroom.

"Sorry," I chuckled. "It's okay, just talk to me when you need anything," Grayson walked into the bathroom after me.

And just like that, his words make me fall for him even more.

Goddamnit Grayson.
