One week later, this time when Mylene opens her locker there are two more secret admirer notes inside it. Mylene blushes as she reads them.
The first note reads as follows:
Dear Mylene,
I love you!
You look beautiful when you are happy, sad, or angry.
Love,
Your Secret Admirer,
xoxoxo
The second note reads as follows:
Dear Mylene,
You make me feel like I am someone special.
Why must you care for another?
It wounds me to know you love someone else.
I have loved you for longer than you can imagine.
Mylene, please love me as I love you!
Love,
Your Secret Admirer,
xoxoxo
Mylene finishes reading both notes and sighs as she places them inside her backpack.
"Mylene, why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?" Jack asks her. He does this to tease her, but does not know he blushes too.
"I just go more love letters from my secret admirer," Mylene says.
"Oh, him! Whoever he is sounds to be good to be true," Jack says. He smiles and thinks, nailed it.
"Hi, Jack! Hi, Mylene!" Ivan says.
"Hi, Ivan!" Jack says. He thinks why does Ivan stare at Mylene like this?
"Hi, Ivan, how are you?" Mylene replies.
"I am good beautiful!" Ivan says. He winks at her and blushes.
Jack thinks, great now Ivan is competiton for Mylene.
"Thanks for the compliment Ivan, but I still will not go out with you!" Mylene says.
Jack hears this and thinks, yes she does not like him.
"What? Why not?" Ivan asks her.
"Look, Ivan you are my best friend, but that is all you will ever be," Mylene tells him.
"I do not love you," Mylene says to Ivan.
Ivan grabs onto the sleeve to Mylene's shirt. "Tell me who he is," Ivan demands.
"Ivan let go, you are hurting me!" Mylene yells at him.
"Tell me who he is Mylene," Ivan says in an angrily.
"Hey, let her go!" Jack yells at Ivan. He thinks, Mylene please do hate me for this.
"Fine, but good luck getting her to answer," Ivan says as he lets go of Mylene's sleeve. He runs off furious.
"Mylene are you all right?" Jack asks. He begins to cry.
"Jack, I am okay. Look, I do not see what the big deal is..." Mylene says.
"You are my best friend. No one should treat you this way," Jack says.
"Well, I uh, must be going now," Mylene says. She blushes and thinks, Jack, I think I love you!
"Mylene, I am so glad you all right," Jack tells her. He blushes and thinks, I love you!
"See you tomorow, Jack!" Mylene remarks.
"See you tomorrow, Mylene!" Jack responds. He goes home.
