Worst Heartbreak, Best Dream

Chapter 2

I heard the passenger door open and that Australian accent saying “You guys go ahead and I’ll catch up with you later!” he yelled to them all I heard was whistles and “You go Calum!” “Shut up!” he replied and shut the door with a thud. I smiled resting m head on the steering wheel. “Was it a good idea leaving Liz with Luke and Ashton?” I asked lifting my head off the steering wheel. “Oh that was a terrible idea, she’s gonna end up in his trunk most likely dead.” My eyes widened. “I’m just kidding, I just texted Ashton. Michael and Luke went out to some party. So they’re gonna watch a movie.” He laughed and I started the car. “Calum?” I whispered. “Yes Emily?” He said back with his voice, soft as mine and big brown eyes like a puppy. “Well I was wondering if they were teasing you because they think you like me.” 

“Maybe, they’re just dumb guys. They always do things to embarrass me.” He explained. I shrugged it off. “Where do you wanna go?” I asked him. He sat there for a while then decided to just walk on the beach. We didn’t need to leave there was a beach access at the hotel. So I turned the car off and we walked to the beach. We got there and luckily there were no people on the beach even though it’s spring break in California. The partiers were further down the coast. We were walking down the coast when we saw a big Ferris wheel. “Can you go or will people see you? If not it’s fine I understand.” I was saying to him. “No, I mean do you want to?” he asked me. 

I don’t care as long as I’m with you. “I mean yes but only if you can.” By the time I finished my sentence he was already making his way towards it. I saw how many people there were. I grabbed his hand and pulled him away. “Let’s just go back to the hotel.” He told the guard we were coming so when we got there they let us in. We went upstairs to his room. His room was beautiful, with an exception of his clothes everywhere. “What do you want to do?” he asked with his adorable accent. He flopped on the bed. I sat down next to him, he was laying there lost in thought. I wanted to ask what he was thinking about but I ended up not. God he looked perfect lying there like that. “We could watch a movie or we could just hang out and talk.” I offered. “Well I’m not really in a movie watching mood so let’s just talk.” He said smiling. We talked about basics. Favorite color, favorite animal, favorite food, etc. “Okay well it’s getting late so I’m gonna go back to my room soon, might as well use them if we have to pay. We paid single for today because of a discount and then the rest of the week we will be paying a package.” I told him then texted Liz.

Me: Hey what’s up I’m probably heading back to the room soon, when will you be back?

Liz: Actually Ashton and I are watching another movie and I was wondering if you didn’t mind me staying here with him tonight?

Me: Oh yeah, no that’s fine. I’ll see you tomorrow then.

“Well Liz is staying with Ash tonight. I’ll just talk to tomorrow Calum. I didn’t think I would sleep in my room tonight by myself without my best friend.” I wasn’t even sure if Calum was listening. I felt him sit up, and then take his shirt off. “I don’t want to over stay so I’ll just take that as my sign to leave.” I said getting up to leave. He moved in front of me bare-chested with loneliness and worry on his face. “What if I don’t want you to leave…? Well I mean you don’t have to go. I like you… I mean uh I like your company.” He confidently then let it fade. “You want me here?” I asked completely shocked that he was shirtless and wanting me to stay. “Yeah but our room…” I started. “No, no, no don’t worry I’ll take care of it. You and Liz can stay with us. It’ll be fun, we have the whole spring break off.” He insisted. I felt bad for using his money so I told Liz to pay for the room when she took down the keys and checked out. I texted Liz. Calum was sitting next to me, reading my texts.

Me: Hey what do you think about staying with the boys for spring break?

Liz: Well Ash said he doesn’t mind and I think that would be so much more fun actually I think I like Ashton. Lol don’t tell Calum and Ash is in the shower so that’s why I’m able to you like I normally would haha he isn’t right next to me.

Me: Okayy well Calum asked me to stay here tonight. We need to get our stuff before check out and I can’t even than Calum enough for all of this. I’ll stalk to you tomorrow girly haha goodnight, today was crazy. Best spring break ever!

Me: Omg I meant talk not stalk I don’t stalk you fml lol

Liz: Haha I knew what you meant and yea I know thank Calum for everything and alright goodnight ;)

Okay with him leaning over me he knew what she said. It was around 10:30pm, Check out was at 11:00am. We needed to get up and transfer to these rooms which wouldn’t take long. We didn’t have too much stuff. Hopefully the boys would help us.

 Now I have to make it through the night with this beautiful boy.
