// hey guys i'm writing again. sorry i like left. i got a little caught up with life there.

i woke up feeling cold, not knowing where i was or how i got here. my brain was clouded and i started to panic.
"she's awake..." i heard a tiny voice say. i saw a tall figure walk towards me.
"i'm glad... when i saw her collapse in the middle of the road i didn't think she'd m- stay awake.." i rubbed my eyes and sat up
"you mean you thought she was going to die?" i noticed the tiny voice belonged to a tiny girl, a child.
her long brown hair flowed over her maroon jacket, she looked about 8. maybe a little younger. when she talked i noticed she was missing a front tooth. now who was she talking to?
i looked up at the tall girl next to her, she had short blond hair and her outfit was rather colorful. she gave the girl an odd look but seemed to shrug it off. she looked at me with concerned eyes.
"do you remember anything?" she felt my forehead and i flinched. the little girl jumped on the bed i was laying in and looked up at me with curiosity.
i slowly shook my head no.
"do you remember your name?"
i thought hard for a moment. i couldn't remember anything.
the little girl perked up "can she stay here with us?!"
the blonde looked down at her "i see no problem with it... it's better than letting her run the streets alone."
the girl turned to me "i'm flora! this is kate! she's my teacher! i can introduce you to mrs. grose too! i have a brother but he's at school right now!"
flora jumped down from the bed and quickly ran out. i looked up at the girl she said was kate.
"you found me?" i asked quietly rubbing my eyes.
kate nodded and hugged herself.
"i was driving here and i saw you walking, limping, then you just collapsed. so i took you in and brought you here... you kind of slept off a day..." she explained "are you sure you don't remember your name?"
"no... i don't remember anything..." i put my head in my hands. i heard kate's footsteps and then i felt a weight on the bed. i looked up at her
"lemme tell you this... i just started working here a couple days ago.. i'm teaching flora and babysitting her... you can stay here with me in my room since we're both new here." she gave me a small smile "once your memories come back we'll talk about a plan okay?"
i nodded.. i could only get out a small "okay..."
she handed me a pair of clothes and told me to go bathe, they didn't have a shower in the bathroom connected to the bedroom.
dinner was odd, it was some soup that floras father used to eat. mrs. grose doesn't seem to like me very much, but why would she? i'm a stranger in her home, she didn't seem to like kate either... but i did.. she made me feel safe in this house, this very very large house. dare i say it was a mansion.
there was west and east wings, many floors. a garden.
i was interrupted by mrs. grose taking my plate.
"i can help you with the dishes if you want?" i said quietly looking up at her
"don't strain yourself." she said coldly and walked to the kitchen.
flora jumped up after "being excused"
"i know what we can call you! i'm going to call you koi!" she was so happy i didn't have the heart to tell her i hated it. there was something odd here. in this house.
after kate put flora to sleep, we both laid in bed.
"kate...?" i whispered. she turned to face me.
"does this house seem weird to you..?"
kate kept the light on while she slept, another thing that sounded alarms in my brain.
