Luna laid on her bed in her shared dorm room. She rolled over to face the wall closest to her and sighed. She curled up into a little ball, her hands shaking slightly.
'Seven more days...'
Luna could feel her stomach churning from anxiety. One hand shot down and gripped onto her midsection, with her free hand she gently pulled on some of her curls. Another section had turned white earlier that morning.
Yuki fluttered over and stood on the edge of the bed. She was facing Lunas back and she gave a small frown. She gently flew up and sat on her fairies shoulder.
"Luna, you should really eat something."
The princess groaned before slowly sitting up. She swung her feet to the side of her bed and pulled on her knee high socks. She glanced at her heels for a moment before deciding to forgo them and exited the dorms, Yuki following close behind.
Her feet patered down the halls quietly. It was around 11 on a Saturday, which meant most students were still in their dorms. Her fellow Winx had all gone off to do separate things. Some looking for something to do, others trying to get more sleep.
The princess rubbed the last remnants of tiredness from her eyes as she entered the dining hall. She made herself a quick plate and sat down. Yuki flew over and sat at the table, taking some of the fruit off her plate.
The princess nibbled and picked around her food for a few minutes, her thoughts weighing her down. She was so lost in thought she didn't notice the clicking of heels growing closer to her until someone was shaking her shoulder. She jumped slightly and saw it was Griselda.
"Miss Faragonda wants to see you in her office."
Luna nodded and stood up. Yuki quickly scuffed down some more fruit before following her fairy. Griselda glanced down at Luna's feet and scoffed at her lack of footwear. The princess pretend to not notice and obediently followed. The three reached Faragonda's office and went inside.
Luna jumped slightly when she noticed all the Winx and their pixies were already there. Not to mention holographic projections of Saladin and Miss Griffin. Faragonda glanced up and smiled.
"Luna, nice of you to finally join us."
The fairy bit her lip and went to stand next to Aisha. She wrapped an arm around her shoulder and patted it comfortingly.
"We are all here today to speak about the threat of Zeref. Ever since the attack on Alfea Saladin has been sending out drones to try and locate Zeref's hideout. He has just informed me that one of the drones have located the hideout."
The girls all jumped in slightly excitement.
"Well then let's form a plan and go. We only have a week before the comet arrives."
"That's where we reached our problem."
Griffin spoke up with a frown.
"The drones that surveyed the area recorded what they saw. This was it."
The group all turned and watched Faragonda play a video of a dark abandoned castle on a mountain. But what was on the perimeter was shocking. There were thousands of Shadow Ghouls lined up all around the castle. Some were even flying in the air.
"We can't get close enough to the castle without those things attacking."
"It's a trap."
The group turned to Luna, who was looking at the floor, her blue eyes shinning with sadness.
"He's preventing us from getting too close until the day the comet arrives. On that day he'll probably lower the defenses to draw us in. Unless we bring an army we don't stand a chance."
