Through a crack in the grand wooden window, a cool breeze slithered and snaked. It danced around a large, grand room fluttering the curtains. Gracefully, it swam around each nook and cranny, past towering, elegant wardrobes and through a delicate brass chandelier. The whisper looped around each fibre in the fluffy grey carpet, and around each of the solid oak bedposts to where a young man slept. Waltzing above him, the air brushed against the ivory drapes that rested exquisitely over the king-sized clouds. Finally, the wind came to rest upon the boy's shoulders, sending a light shiver down his back.

A low, rumbling groan came from beneath the covers as the sleeping form awoke. As his eyes fluttered open, Liam Darwin rolled over to his side. Reaching over to the pearly marble bedside table, he fondled around for his phone. Picking up the metal wrapped up in soft leather, he tapped on the display, switching it on. He read the time, and a ghost of a smile wiggled its way onto his face. He'd managed to sleep until 10:30, and for once actually felt rested. Swiping left on the screen, the front facing camera opened up. He looked at his slightly messy brown hair, having come loose because he washed the wax out last night. The boy sighed, knowing that despite the lie in, he had to get up otherwise he'd be in bed all day.

Sliding so he was sitting upright on the edge of his bed, Liam used his hand to brush his hair over to the right, away from his aqua eyes. Standing up, he noticed the post-it note stuck on his bedroom door. He stepped over to it and read his father's beautiful cursive. Hi son. I had to go out to work and didn't want to wake you. I'll be back by 6pm. Dad Xx. Although he was obviously disappointed, Liam was glad he now had the house to himself for the rest of the day. Not wanting to waste any more time, the boy walked over to the large decorative oak door on one side of his room and pushed it open. Stepping out of his boxer-briefs, the teenager turned the hot water on and started filling the bath. Pouring pomegranate bath wash into the swirling bowl, Liam added a little bit of cold to make sure it didn't scold him, and stepped in. Sinking back, he soaked into the water and began to wash himself slowly but methodically.

Stepping out of the bath, smelling divine, Liam wrapped a fluffy grey towel around his waist and walked back into his bedroom. The boy opened his towering oak wardrobe, staring at the vast array of colours and styles. Knowing he was going to go out to shop for some toiletries, the teenager pulled out a striped polo shirt and some tight-fitting jeans. Liam dried himself off and pulled on a pair of baby blue boxer- briefs and some white trainer socks. After spraying some deodorant on his under- arms and putting some cologne on his wrists and neck, the boy pulled on his shirt and jeans. Looking in the glossy black surrounded full length mirror, Liam styled his hair to the right with some wax. After making sure no hairs were out of place, he grabbed his towel and set it to dry, and jogged downstairs for breakfast.

Reaching the kitchen, he set about raiding the fridge for the healthiest yet most filling breakfast he could find. Pulling out some eggs, cress and low-fat butter, Liam set about filling a pot with water and setting it to boil. After pulling out a shiny black plate, he got out some white bread, sliced to into strips, and laid it on top. The water started boiling, and the boy popped two eggs in the pot while setting a timer for two and a half minutes. Laying down some cress on another section of the plate, Liam waited for the eggs to boil. The timer dinged, and he scooped the eggs out with a large spoon into two white egg cups. After carrying his plate over to the breakfast bar, Liam sat down and cracked the eggs open with a tap of his spoon. Smiling at the gooey goodness inside, the teenager tucked in.

After washing up, Liam decided that he fancied a walk around the near-by park. It was only a few minutes away, and he just enjoyed sitting there, embraced in the warmth of the sun, listening to the intense conversations of birds perched high above his head. He grabbed his phone and his keys, and stepped outside. Locking the door, he began the short walk to the expansive park. Liam breathed in the fresh, cool air deep into his lungs, savouring the feeling.

The boy was strolling leisurely along, taking in his surroundings and zoning out, when he bumped into someone. Immediately concerned he may have hurt someone, Liam turned around to check if the person was ok. He was met with a teenager, about as tall as him at 6'3", with disgust shining in his brown eyes. "Watch where you are going you prick!" the stranger bellowed, challenging Liam.

"Sorry man, I was in my own world there. Are you ok? I didn't mean to hurt you." Liam inquired, slightly hurt by the boy's choice of words.

"Just piss off, ok?!" The boy raged. Giving Liam a goodbye death glare, he stormed off. The offended teenager just stood for amoment shocked at how abrupt the encounter had been. Brushing it off, Liamcontinued his walk in the opposite direction, thinking about school. Seeing someoneof the same age as him reminded him that just tomorrow he went back to startsixth-form. Suddenly very put off of the idea of a walk, and being left to his ownthoughts, Liam turned around and headed back home.
