Under normal circumstances, Liam would have been overjoyed at the prospect of a day off school. However, these were not normal circumstances.

Instead, Liam wasn't going to school today because he had to be questioned. As he was the only person at the site of Luke's mugging, the teenager had to answer some questions to help find the mysterious person that had helped Lana – the girl had admitted the name, but the police needed Liam's help in identifying her accomplice. So, the boy got ready to start a very boring day.

The teenager decided to put on some decently smart clothes, but still casual. So, after chucking on a polo shirt and some jeans as the day wasn't going to be very warm, he headed downstairs to eat breakfast. And he was even awake early enough to eat alongside his dad. Two days in a week – he really was getting his act together.

Saying that, he couldn't be bothered to fry bacon so instead had cereal. On a Monday morning. As if the day wasn't boring enough already.

While eating breakfast, Liam asked his dad how long he was actually expected to be at the police station. The boy couldn't imagine it would be very long, as he only had to look at a few possible pictures and identify who he'd seen-

"FOUR HOURS?!" He said, his voiced raised and his eyes wide.

"I had to do a similar thing a few years ago, and I got a picture of the guy – even then I was there for an hour. You only got a look, so they'll probably want to check all of their possibilities." Liam's dad said, looking extremely bored. "Believe me, I don't want to do it either, as I have to come with you because you're a minor and clearly can't be trusted." The boy's dad said with a smirk. Liam only gave him a heavy sigh in response, and went upstairs to get his trainers.

Upon getting downstairs, he noticed his dad had already done all the washing up and was just straightening his jacket. And all the boy had done was put on some trainers and take a piss. He swore parents had some kind of voodoo magic they used to get ready super-fast just so they can bully their kids.

It was one in the afternoon, and Liam was dead. Not literally of course, but his entire soul was thoroughly exhausted. His dad had been correct with his estimates, and the teenager wished that, for once, his dad could have got something wrong.

But no. He had to suffer.

At least, however, the suspect had been identified. Her name was Madison, and she was twenty-two – seven years older than Lana and of no relation to her. That's what took the most time. Identifying Madison hadn't been easy, it had taken a whole hour, but then the police kept Liam there when contacting Lana as they thought something was up. Why would a minor just be hanging out with a twenty-two-year-old, and mugging people with them as well.

Liam didn't really understand why he had to be there at first, but soon realised it was because the police wanted someone of a similar age to explain why mugging people was wrong, without using that exact wording.

And it worked.

After a strict warning, the girl actually seemed genuine when she said she would stop involving herself with people like Madison. So now, Liam was in the car with his dad as they drove home, being given the task of, if he ever saw the criminal immediately call 999. Honestly, the boy hoped he didn't see her ever again, as he really couldn't be arsed.

Talk about lazy – can't be bothered to call the shortest phone number.

But it wasn't just that. He also had to actually get Jack back this time. Liam was done with being a prick, and couldn't deal with being so distant with him all the time.

So, he once again turned to Elisa, and as he dialled her number her hoped that whatever they thought up worked.

Although he hated to admit, Liam really missed the guy.
