Kendall's POV
It was the longest three hours of my life. Mercifully, Y/N pokes her head in to the room and motions for me to join her in the hallway.
"The operation was a success. We were able to clear the clot pretty easily before we sent her to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit to continue her recovery. Because of the cramped nature of the unit, Kylie may only have one visitor at a time. That being said, she should only be in PACU for few hours before she's should transferred back to the ward." She says, smiling softly.
"Thank you so much Y/N." I exclaim, wrapping her in a bear hug.
"I think we should both thank Kylie for being such a fighter." She says as I nod in agreement.
"Come on, I'll take you to where she is." She says, taking my hand in hers causing me to lightly blush. We make our way through a maze of hallways, up in an elevator and then through a set of large doors.
"I'll let you have a some privacy with your sister. I'll see you soon." She says before heading back through the doors we came in. I take a deep breath and enter Kylie's room. I take a seat by her bedside and wait for her to exhibit a change until I felt my phone ringing in my pocket.
"Hello?" I answer without looking at the caller ID.
"Kenny! Where the hell are you? And where's Kylie?" My mom yells worriedly.
"Mom, we're in the hospital. Ky just came out surgery, but she's stable and recovering." I quickly reassure her.
"PARDON!? SURGERY!?" She screams.
"Mom, she's fine now. We're at the Cedar Sinai Hospital, just give me a heads up when you arrive and I'll bring you to see her." I say.
"You'd better, Kendall. I'll see you soon." I sighed and turned my attention back to my little sister. Half an hour later, I got the text that I dreaded. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate my mother, but at time she gets far too controlling for my liking, and so we aren't on the best terms at the moment.
"Hi mom." I say flatly, greeting her at the main door. We don't say a word as I lead her towards Kylie's room.
"One visitor at a time." She nods and enters. As I wait by the door, I notice Y/N suddenly appear.
"Hey, somebody in there?" She asks.
"Yep."
"Something tells me you don't want that person in there at the moment." She says.
"You got it. It's just my mother, she only pays attention to Kylie. It's always Kylie this and Kylie that. That's why I was arguing with Ky earlier. Don't get me wrong, I love my sister. Stupid, I know." I ramble.
"I get it. You deserve you to be loved, especially with how sweet and caring you are. I may have only known you for a few hours, but I can already tell you've got a good heart."
