Y/N's POV

I watched worriedly as Kris' face turned from an expression of surprise to one of approval. Kylie and Avery on the other hand looked like they both just had a heart attack.

"Please take care of her Avery." Kris says, smiling warmly.

"Thank you, that means a lot to me. I promise to cherish every moment I spend with Kylie." My best friend says, holding Ky's hand tightly.

"I know you will. Now, when are the weddings?" Kris asks, causing both of her daughters to turn bright red out of embarrassment. Avery and I couldn't help but laugh at the ensuing family interaction.

"MOM!" Both Kendall and Kylie yell.

"What? I was just curious. You know how much effort a wedding is to organize. Anyway, I've got to meet up with Kim and Kanye for dinner. Apparently they want my input on of their business proposals." Nodding, we wave goodbye to Kris as she headed out for her important meeting.

"That was a miracle, I'm surprised Y/N didn't chew Kris' head off." Avery says.

"I've learned that forgiveness is the best route to go. There's no point holding anger in yourself as the only one hurting is you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get to the bathroom." I say.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? You've just woken up and your body is still week." Ken says worriedly. I place my hand on her shoulder to reassure her.

"I'll be fine. Have you forgotten what I trained to be?"

"Fair point. Use these." She says sitting down on the bed before handing me her crutches. I grab the crutches and slowly pull my weight up off the bed. Once I felt comfortable, I hobbled my way to the restroom. As the night wore on, Kylie and Avery left to get bed at around an hour to midnight after I thanked them for their company. Audra and Kenny made themselves comfortable on the stretchers the nurses had kindly brought in for us. Just as I was about to shut off the light as Audra had fallen asleep, the door bursts open.

"Have you forgotten your manners at home!?" I yell at the man now standing in my doorway.

"Ben? Why are you here?" Ken asks.

"Ken, I want to apologize for what I did. You don't know how much I miss you every day. My apartment just doesn't feel the same without you. Please come home with me." He says.

"Ben, I appreciate the apology, but I've moved on. I just don't feel the spark I once felt when we were dating. I'm really sorry too. I truly hope you find someone who can love you back."

"Is there anything I can do to get you back?"

"No, not this time."

"I understand, take care of yourself Kendall. I'll see you around." He says before hastily spinning around on his heels and leaving.

"Who was that Ken?" I ask.

"My ex-boyfriend, Ben Simmons. He's a good man at heart, he was just naive at the time." She says. I nod, and switch off the lamp, barely able to keep my eyes open.

"I see. Goodnight Kenny."

"Goodnight Y/N." The next morning, I woke up to the sun shining brightly in to my room, but no Kendall or Audra. After rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, the opens to reveal Audra holding a change of clothes.

"Good morning sleepy head! While you were dreaming, we took the liberty to get you a change of clothes and signed the paperwork to get you discharged. The doctor says you have to use those crutches for now." She says, pointing at a set leaning against the foot of the bed.
