"Jax, we can't be doing this," I say, letting out a light moan when his lips graze my neck. "We don't have time."

"What time are they coming over?" he asks, the words muffled in my skin.

"Soon and I'd rather not have my brother seeing what his sister looks like after a makeout session or worse sex. I'd be mortified," I say shuddering at the thought. He moves a couple of inches back before laughing at my expression.

"You don't think it'd be funny?" he chuckles.

"I won't be the one six feet under when Cody is done with you," I say pinching his nose.

"Fine, we'll stop for now," he relents.

"Good," I say, moving my hands from his neck to fix my sweater. I move to get off his lap but instead, I'm lifted into the air, my arms moving back around Jax's neck, my legs wrapped around his waist. "Jax, what are you-" I splutter as he walks us out of the bedroom.

"Can't I have you in my arms just a bit longer?" he teasingly smirks.

"If we fall down the stairs it's our funeral," I say resting my head on his shoulder.

"Do you think I'd let that happen?" he retorts as he takes us downstairs.

"I don't see it happening but you being clumsy would be funny," I tell him as he reaches the last step. He places me down on the floor and takes my hand in his.

"I doubt you'll be seeing that anytime soon," he says as he leads me to the kitchen. Wren is still engrossed in the movie he's been watching for the last hour. "I bet you if we called out his name he wouldn't even hear us," he snickers and I smack his chest rolling my eyes at his childishness.

I walk into the kitchen, listening to Wren whine at Jax for interrupting him and I'm soon hearing loud laughter erupting from Wren. Although one of them is a grown adult, you can't deny their brothers. I quickly finish making coffee for Jax and myself and I carry them out to the living room. I pass the mug to Jax, taking a seat in the armchair but not before grabbing two cookies to snack on.

"So what do you say, do we tell them today?" I ask Jax as I bite into a cookie. Since it's Friday, I invited Cody's kids for a sleepover to let my brother and sister-in-law have a little peace and quiet with their newborn. What Cody doesn't know is that Jason is stopping by for a bit.

"Your brother I don't mind but it's the cop that I don't fully trust but I trust you," Jax replies as he sips his coffee.

"As I said, if he dares to try and backstab me I'm kicking his ass back to America," I threaten. I hear the doorbell ring and footsteps running to the door.

"Mommy, they're here!" Wren yells as he waits for me to open the door.

"Hold on, I'm coming," I answer, padding to the door. I double-check to see Cody and all three boys layered in winter clothing standing outside. The city hasn't been hit with snow yet but it's certainly freezing. I open the door and all three kids rush past me, throwing off their shoes and run inside. I hear Jax telling them to take off their jackets and pass them to him before they go to play.

"Thanks for doing this, Char," Cody says as he closes the door behind him.

"You know I'd do anything for my big brother," I smile, hugging him and taking my nephew's bags from him. "By the way, how is Chris doing?"

"He's doing much better. Those days of rest helped him recover," he tells me as he follows me to the living room. He looks at Jax for a couple of seconds before holding out his hand in a civil handshake. "Jax, nice to see you again," he says in a curt voice.
