Note that the next chapter and this one is doing time skips but will summarize what happened in the time that passed. This is also second to last chapter so I hope you liked this book! Also, there might be two endings it really depends on if you guys want two though. Let's start the chapter!
It was finally Christmas, both pairs of brothers were gathered around Romans tree. His parents on a loveseat, and Remus on a arm chair. Virgil sat on the floor with Roman to his right and Dimitri to his left. They had just finished eating pancakes and fruit for breakfast and now we're settling down by the tree. Roman, being closer to the tree than everyone else handed out gifts. Roman sorted out the gifts into piles, some piles were small others were big. But they didn't care as long as they were around each other. The small things in life are more important to them. Just being around each other was a small Christmas miracle, I mean, they could've found Virgil much later then they did. Roman had handed everyone one gift and sat back while they took turns, they went in order starting with Romans mother, Lily.
"To Lily From Virgil" she said reading it aloud. Virgil had found out that Romans mother loved puzzles and got her a 3-D puzzle. It was cheap so he had the money between the hospital bills and other bills. She thanked him and her husband opened his gift, this one was from Roman, it being a card to his favorite restaurant. Remus was then given a gift, it seemed normal on the outside, but once opened it had many surprises like the tightly wound string, or the zip ties, or even the layers of packing tape. But under it all was a small box, in it was tickets to Remus' favorite sports game. Remus had launched off the chair and tackled Roman into a hug. There was the sound of laughter in the air for most of the day after that.
It soon came down to it only being one present left for Roman and Virgil, each from the other boy. Virgil opened his, he found a note and also a jar of paper. He smiled to the other boy and opened the note.
Dear Virge,
I don't know how to put this into words, well into one note. But I love you so, so much. So, I've put together a jar, the jar contains reasons I love you, along with just funny things like jokes. But mostly reasons. You take one random paper every day, you can take an extra if your going through something like a panic or anxiety attack. In the jar is around 113 papers. Then there's the last one that's taped to the inside of the lid, that one you take last. You'll find out why when you read it. But to finish this note off is, I love you, a lot and I hope you feel the same.
Virgil had started to tear up while reading the note, soon hugging Roman. Roman comforted him and took the present from Virgil. He tore the wrapping paper and found a small frame, in the frame was a drawing of Roman with the words 'A fabulous Christmas to you' written next to him. Roman smiled and hugged Virgil back.
It was now later in the evening and Virgil was helping cook while Roman, Remus and Dimitri cleaned the living room. Virgil made a homemade chocolate cream pie with the help of Romans mom. Romans dad made the ham and potatoes. They also cooked rolls and some veggies. They put all of the food on the table along with 6 plates. The dinner that night was nice, not peaceful by any means, but it was nice. Virgil thought he could get used to this.
It's short I know, but it's almost the end of this book and the last chapter is gonna take a lot longer so bare with me.
