TW:Bullying again
I wrote out the letters I'm giving to the boy next door, Virgil. I prepared the box with the last note, then the candy in a layer, the stuffed bear I made over the summer for him, and the headphones with the note. I almost forgot the dark eyeshadow palate I bought but put it in making it look like the bear was holding it. Lastly placing the letter on top. I felt bad for not just giving them to him and being openly gay and liking him. I really wish I wasn't dragged into the group of bully's. I wish I could just talk to Virgil or walk with him to school. I really do. I grabbed my things and said bye to my parents. Walking to Virgil's house I set the items down. 'Wait I probably sound like a stalker' I thought. But I mean, I know where he lives because he's literally right next to me. That's not creepy. I realize I'm just standing at his door looking at the box. I quickly leave the door walking down the street.
Lunch came by and I was frustrated to say the least. The people who call me a 'friend' had decided we were gonna 'fuck up emo boy' as they said. I watched as Ryder pushed him down to the floor.
"Hey look he can't even stand his ground." Jake laughed. I could tell Virgil wasn't listening to the things everyone was saying. I said things too but meant nothing. He seemed like he was too focused on his bag. He kept his body in front of the bag taking the punches and kicks instead of letting it go into his bag like he normally did. Matt took the bag.
"NO!" He screamed scrambling to his feet. Virgil was short, so Matt being extraordinarily tall for his age held the bag just out of Virgil's reach.
"Oo look at these" he says pulling out the headphones I bought for him. I felt very guilty and stayed behind the group not wanting to hurt him. "I wonder how much these were" They weren't much money but Virgil didn't know that. He jumped and tried to grab the headphones.
"Please! Someone bought them for me! Please they're special!" He cried. I felt my heart break at that sentence.
"Oops," Matt says dropping the headphones. From what I could tell they cracked. But it's okay, I'll get better ones if they break too much. Virgil scrambled over to the headphones picking them up while we went though his bag. Luke kicked the back of his knees, he collapsed to the floor holding tightly to the headphones. I didn't want to do anything to him so I kept my distance. I saw a teacher and so did everyone else. We went back to our tables me going to see my friend Patton.
"Hey Patton? Can you go help out Virgil?" I asked walking to the table.
Patton and Logan both looked up from the conversation they were having.
"Of course Kiddo!" Patton says happily.
"Don't tell him I sent you!" I yell to him as he walks away. He turns and gives me a thumbs up.
"I don't see why you don't show him how much you care for him" Logan said turning his attention to his book.
"Well, I don't know... I'm just scared he'll be scared of me and reject me." I said resting my head in my hands.
"Well that's just absurd. If you were to let him get to know the kinder part of you you would have more of a chance."
"I know Logan. But it's not that easy" I sighed.
The rest of the day was normal. Classes were good. When I got out of my last class I walked home quickly extremely excited to make another letter. I promised myself to make it more clear who was sending the letters. Maybe give my middle name? Or say where I was during lunch? Or say i'm in his last period class? These type of thoughts continued to run in my head while I walked home.
I set my things down next to my desk grabbing a piece paper and a pencil out of my drawer.
Dear Virgil,
Are the headphones broken? If they are I'll get some new ones for you. Oh wait, you won't be able to tell me if they are... Oh! I'm in your last period class! You could leave a note on your desk! Oh wait no then you could just wait and see who picked it up, how about if you want to get a note to me give it to Patton! Yeah that will work. My other friend said I should come out and tell you, but I'm too nervous. I'm scared you'll hate me for what I've done and not be able to forgive me for it. But if you can figure out who I am though these notes, I'll except whatever you think of me. You must be thinking that this is a joke or a prank but I can promise you it's not. I can promise it because a person playing a prank wouldn't know the little things, like for example, when your nervous in class you bite your nails, and your eyes are brown like dark chocolate, but when the light hits them right they look full of life and the color changes to more of a caramel. Or when your about to cry you bite your lip. Or when you think no one is looking you let your smile show. You like to draw during class but still have incredible grades. I could make this letter a million pages with all the little things you do that I notice. But for the sake of this being a letter and not a essay, however I could write a essay on you. I'll end it here. Just remember, if you want to send a letter give it to Patton, no he won't look at it. If you need new headphones don't be afraid to ask either. That goes for any of the gifts like the candy.
Love, RAP
I finished the letter folding it to look like swan. Just to be extra, you know? I grab a box and add a sketch book and a few pencils for shading. I quickly write out another note.
Here is some art supplies, maybe you could draw what you think I look like. <3
I tape the note to the sketch book adding the swan note. I tape to box closed and set it on my desk. I pull out my homework and start it.
