Meet Caleb

  "Thank you for your time Paisley" officer Mack said, "all of the information given was quite useful, and we have derived a few suspects from this list. Paisley I must commend your ability to relate back the story but with teenagers there's a pattern with lying, it seems to me like you haven't touched on anything much with Alex and you seem to be close but your feelings are a bit biased and that's a bit unnerving." Of course I have secrets I mean don't you have secrets? Come on we all have secrets and well so did Alex.

"Before you leave Paisley I want you to do some investigating for me, my nephew Caleb works at the store Alex used to work at before he got the big job at the theater. I can't interrogate him because he's family but you can", officer Mack gave me his address and told me to go when I have free time to interview Caleb.

"Paisley how was the interrogation?" Dylan asked after I came out the room, "officer Mack is suspicious of me, but I know I didn't kill Alex, I think I should invest in getting a good lawyer" I replied anxiously, "don't worry about that just yet because whoever the killer is they won't just get away with their crimes" Dylan replied but my thoughts were a bit jumbled, Dylan wanted a relationship but I knew he had been hurt too many times and to top it off I don't feel even a bit comfortable with him because I keep thinking he's a murderer. "Where do you wanna go after Kory's finished?" He asked looking at my confused expression "oh don't worry about me I'll be going now, officer Mack is sending me to interrogate his nephew Caleb" I told him, he understood, I'm guessing officer Mack is sending me because I have the least motive out of everyone and Dylan understands because everyone right now is suspecting him.

  I followed the directions as quickly as I could and when I reached the small house with lions on the columns I stopped, that must be the house, I walked up to the wooden door and knocked. The door opened to a girl with long curled black hair, Tessa, "Paisley..." she looked shocked, "oh I must have the wrong house I'm looking for a Caleb Mack" I said looking down "that would be me" a deep voice from inside came, Tessa loved aside letting me walk in most annoyed. "So, am I being arrested?", "hardly likely since your dad is an officer" I reply and he nods. "You're here because my uncle sent you, for the Spring case right" I nodded, "yeah I'll answer your questions let me just talk to my girlfriend first" he said calling Tessa upstairs leaving me downstairs.

Waiting downstairs I noticed two children sitting at the table, a boy with shaggy brown hair and glasses that looked about ten years old and he was reading a book on the table and there was a girl next to him on her phone she looked a bit older maybe thirteen. "What book ya reading" I asked the boy, he looked up most annoyed and replied "Divergent" he stared at me waiting for my response, "I love that book" I laughed, "you read it?", he asked shocked "yeah of course, young girl who is discouraged from uniqueness and strictly abiding by conformity breaks free by showing her personality and making her own freedom" I say describing the book in the best way possible, "that's a lot to process" he smiles, "yeah I've read it a couple times so I think I've analyzed it pretty well" I shrugged, "who's your favorite character?" He asked, "Peter" I replied and his eyes widened "he's such a jerk" he spits and I laugh "yeah he is but what I think is that he was raised that way, Peter sees the world in black and white just like Candor where as Tris sees the colour in everything which puts more perspective in place, I think people miss out on the point of Peter's character he wasn't just a challenge for Tris people don't realize that their are actually people that think the way he does that there were only two ways to live either right or wrong he doesn't believe in mistakes he cannot be nice unless he owes someone something, which is important to understand" at my statement the boy was in total shock "you must really like this book" he grins, "books help you learn from your mistakes and teach you moral advice that could help you later on" I reply. "What's your name" He asks, "Paisley" I reply, "my name's Peter" he smiled and this time I was the one shocked.

Peter and I talked for a bit and I noticed the girl on her phone didn't say anything she just scrolled her phone, "hi" I said towards her, she didn't look up but replied, "you should go home, whatever you're trying to get out of my stepbrother is useless, Caleb is a very secretive boy he's just like our step dad" she frowns, "step dad?" I ask, "Roger" she frowns "Roger... that sounds quite familiar" I repeat the name in my head, "Roger what?" I ask most curious "Roger Spring" she replied at that my eyes widened Dylan and Alex's dad oh crap. I heard steps from the staircase and a deep voice called "Hey we're ready for the interview, come on up".
