His tatted hand flew over my mouth as he dragged me under the table."Shush." He whispered into my ear as my breathing hitched as screams still echoed through my ears."Get down here now." He growled at the group. Everyone slid down with fear in their eyes."Adam call 911. The rest of you be quiet. No matter what you hear don't scream. I want everything silent." We nodded and he slid up from under the table.

"Maddox?" He turned towards me and put his index finger on his lips indicating for me to be quiet.

"Okay, listen up. I don't want anyone crying or screaming. Everyone be quiet. I promise all of you will make it out alive if you do what I say." With that said everyone calmed down."Thank you." Then he ducked down as the doors pried open. Everyone stayed as quiet as they could but that didn't last long when a man dropped dead because of a bullet in his head."QUIET!!"

"They're on their way." Adam whispered as we all gawked at the sight in front of us. The men pointed their guns in different directions trying to find him.

"Where the fuck is h-" the man was cut off by Maddox slitting his throat.

"Get him!" Another man shouted as they started shooting at Maddox but he used the dead body as a shield. Two head shots later each man was dead. Maddox dropped his shield body and walked towards us.

"Come on." We all slid out."Come on." He said to the other people. Everyone bolted up and ran through the door as police cars surrounded us."Let's go." Maddox grabbed my hand and pushed through the doors.

"Is anyone else in there?" A officer asked after he ran in front of us.

"The only people in there are the shooters but they're dead." Maddox stated still holding my hand.

"What do you mean dead?" The officer asked dumbfounded.

Maddox sighed with a eye roll."I killed them." The officer quickly pulled out his gun and pointed it at Maddox. Maddox let go of my hand."Calm the fuck down. I'm a veteran and also I'm licensed." Pushing the gun down with his index finger he spoke-"don't just go around pulling guns on people. It's rude." With that said Maddox grabbed my hand and pushed passed the stunned officer.

Passing my group of friends he yelled-"I'll be taking her, thanks." Walking to his car he opened the door for me. After I slid in he walks over and does the same.

"Wanna go to the movies?" He didn't. After everything I just saw.

"Are you serious?!" I screeched as he chuckled.

"I'm kidding." This dude." I don't want you to be alone. Is this okay with you?"

"Sure." I breathed as I looked at the now darkening sky.

"We're here." He said as he pulled into a driveway. Looking up I see a black house with tinted windows just like his car. Opening the door and stepping out I walk over to Maddox."Come on." Grabbing my hand he pulled me closer to the house.
