Alex's leaving

This can't be happening

Jo's pov:
As Jackson told me to follow him, I felt all the fear I could feel all my life. Holding that little baby in my arms, Jackson stopped in front of a cop.
Cop: "Ma'am. Are you Dr. Karev's wife?"
Jo: "Yes I am. What hap-"
Cop: "It's about your husband. You need to come with me."
Jo: "And what about the baby?"
Jackson: "I will take care of him."
Cop: "You can take him with you if you want."
Jo: "Oh. Ok. I will take him."
By the time we got out of the hospital, I started sobbing. I couldn't believe what was happening. The cop reassured me and put me into the car. 20 minutes later, we arrived at PAC-North. Richard was waiting for me outside and by the time he saw me,he greeted me and hugged me and took the baby from my arms. I was still crying.
Richard: "Jo. First of all, you need to be calm. Something sad happened."
Jo: "Please tell me what happened."
Richard: "Alex had a serious car crash as he was driving. The injuries were so severe that he couldn't mak-"
Jo: "No. No. No. This can't be happening. You're lying. You're lying. He is not dead. You're lying."I said while screaming and crying. 
Richard: "I'm so sorry. I'll go you to see him. Here,take the baby."
I took the baby not believing what Richard had just told me and we went to identify the body. Suddenly, my phone rang.
Jo: "Oh. It's Meredith. Can you talk to her because I can't."
Richard: "Of course Jo. -Hello. Meredith?-"
Meredith: "Hey who's this? And what happened to Jo?"
Richard: "Meredith. It's Richard. You should come to PAC North."
Meredith: "Ok. I'm coming."
Finally, we arrived at the room where Alex was. He was covered in a white sheet. I gave the baby to Richard and went towards Alex still crying. A nurse uncovered the sheet and I saw the love of my life lying there but not moving. I could not handle the pressure so I passed out.
