Meredith: "Jo. How are you gonna bring up a baby? And especially if you adopt the baby from the station too? Two babies are way too difficult to be brought up."
Jo: "Well, I will do it the way you did with Ellis. I believe in me. I am strong. Besides, you are gonna help me a little bit, aren't you?"
Meredith: "Of course I will. I'll be by your side every single minute. Now, we have to book an appointment with Carina to tell you about the baby."
Suddenly, the door bell rang. It was my lawyer, Mrs Greene.
Jo: "Hello Mrs Greene. How are you?"
Mrs Greene: "I'm good thank you. How about you? Are you better since your husband.. you know.."
Jo: "Not yet but I'll recover. I am strong."
Mrs Greene: "Well, you can take the baby for a couple of days and a social worker will come to check. Have you thought of any names to give to the baby?"
Jo: "Yes. I will name him Alexander Michael Karev. Just like his dad."
Mrs Greene: "Very good choice. You just need to sign these papers and I will leave baby Alex here."
I signed the papers and a while later she left.
Meredith: "So. You are gonna name the baby Alex?"
Jo: "Yes. I don't want to forget him. He was my husband. My everything actually."
Meredith: "Ok. By the way you should call Carina."
Jo: "Yes. You're right. What's her phone number?"
Meredith: "Here it is. Call her."
----------------------
Jo: "Hey Carina. It's me. Jo Karev."
Carina: "Hello Jo. How can I help you?"
Jo: "I took a pregnancy test a while ago and it turned positive. When can I see the baby?"
Carina: " I'll be free tomorrow. Can you come at 10 a.m.?"
Jo: "Of course. Thank you. Have a nice day!"
Carina: "You too!"
-----------------
Jo: "I'll go tomorrow." I said and started crying.
Meredith: "Why are you crying? What happened?"
Jo: "Alex would be so thrilled. See, he always wanted to become a father and never had the chance. And now that I have two babies, he's not here with me. Meredith, Alex's, Alex's dead and I can't breathe, I can't breathe."
Meredith: "Come here. Even if Alex's not here, we are. And he's watching you from up there."
Maggie: "Here we are! Kids go wash your hands! Oh Jo. What happened?"
Meredith: "It's complicated. She will explain you some time later."
Zola: "Mom I am back! Oh no! Aunt Jo what happened to you? Why are you sad?"
Jo: "It's nothing honey. I'm completely fine. Don't worry. Meredith, I'm going to my room. I have to feed the baby."
Meredith: "Do you need some help?"
Jo: "No. I'm fine."
After I fed baby Alex we both fell asleep.
Alex: "Jo. Where are you?"
Jo: "I'm here baby. Did you find out?"
Alex: "About our babies? Of course I did. I'm so happy we're gonna have one more baby! I love you so so so much. Please do not forget it. Now I have to leave. Before I do, let me hug you."
Jo: "I miss you so much."
Alex: "I miss you too."
For one more time, I woke up crying and screaming Meredith's name.
Meredith: "Hey Jo. I'm here. Did you see Alex again?"
Jo: "Yes. I miss him so much. He came and told me that he knows about the babies. I always dream him ever since he passed."
Meredith: "Ok sweetie. Do you want to watch a movie?"
Jo: "No. Actually I want to go to the loft and empty it."
Meredith: "Ok. I'll tell Maggie, Amelia and the kids to come too. They won't go to school tomorrow."
Jo: "No no. Besides Amelia is pregnant and the kids must be tired."
Meredith: "They'll just come for some company. They'll be watching movies."
Jo: "Ok then."
We all went to the loft. When I opened the door, all the memories of Alex and me came to my mind. The first time I expressed my feelings for him, the day we broke up the day we were having the honeymoon at our home. Everything. I held my tears back and started packing. The kids and Amelia were playing with baby Alex and Atticus came to help us with the heavy stuff.
Atticus: "Jo. I know that this might be hard for you so in case you don't feel well, please sit down."
Jo: "I'm fine. Really. I'll start packing his clothes."
As I started packing his clothes, I saw his wedding costume. I smelled it and it smelled exactly like him. When we finished packing the half of the stuff, we were all so tired so we fell asleep within minutes.
