Lucy's Point of View

Five times. I've seen the sun rise five times now from the tiny ventilating window at the top corner of the room. That makes six days since I came here... six days of pain and torture from this messed up family.

"Such a stubborn girl, it's starting to get boring, you know?" The girl in front of me stated with a blank look on her face. Piarra, a young woman with short and curly brown hair, with grey eyes similar to her brother, and a great amount of magic power but less than her father's.

That's right. This woman is the one who's been hurting me for days, using any means and methods to force me to submit and surrender my precious keys. From everything that both she and her crazy father did, none of it had the intent to actually kill me. And I guess it's safe to assume that they can't kill me yet.

But... How many fingernails have I lost already? And how many bones are left not broken?

How many scars have she slashed through my skin?

It hurts.

It hurts so much.

But I can't let these pain destroy my morale. I vowed to keep my friends safe, and I'll be strong until the end, even if it costs my life. I still have my thoughts collected. That's what's important right now.

Piarra lowered her head, and the only part of her face I could see was her mouth and her wicked grin. "At least show a more pained expression this time." When she raised her head, shivers ran down my spine as she looked at me with her teary eyes. The brunette then stood up from the desk containing different torture tools, and walked towards me with an obviously sharp and bloody blade in her hands.

That's the one she used to cut my ankles with...

"Would you finally scream in pain and cry for mercy if I gauge out one of your lovely eyes?" She tilted her head to the side, bringing the sharp object towards her mouth as she licked the present blood off.

Scoffing, I kept my face straight and glared at her, trying my best to look unfazed. Everything hurts, but I'm starting to get used to the pain. "I'd rather lose my eyes than amuse scum like you."

The playful wicked grin on her face disappeared, and was replaced by a cold look

The playful wicked grin on her face disappeared, and was replaced by a cold look. Piarra gripped the knife tightly, raising her hand with the edge of the blade pointed at my face. "Okay."

It hurts!

I felt the blade slash on my face twice, and from that point, all I saw was darkness. The sharp, stinging pain from my forehead, to my eyelids, and down to my cheeks overpowered the painfulness all over my body. Blood dripped from the wounds, mixing with the tears that made it even more painful. I couldn't open my eyes.

It hurts! It hurts too much! Everything hurts...! Somebody... Somebody, please... help me!

My teeth involuntarily gritted as I tried to withstand the pain, my tied fists clenching as my whole body trembled. I was starting to get dizzy again, and the last bit of my magic and power was starting to disappear.
