BRAD

The day has finally come. I am going to marry the love of my life and we will finally become a family together. I am positive that Evelyn is the one for me. But then . . . Why do I feel so scared? I have been panicking for twenty minutes now, I have to get out of here.

We stayed in Birmingham for our big day, our friends any families joining us. We rented out a hotel's banquette hall and a honeymoon suite. James, Kirstie, Tris and Ashley said they are going to stay in the hotel with us for the next two days Evelyn and I are going to spend here. Unfortunately, the others can't stay because of some school stuff or whatever.

Fuck, I can't do this. I leave the bathroom, breathing heavily and looking around the hallway. I make sure no one is around, then slip out of the hotel and into my car. I decide to drive up to the only place that can calm me down. Why the heck am I panicking so much? Am I really this afraid of commitment?

JAMES

"What do you mean he's gone?" Maggie shouts at me. I came into the room to check on Brad, I saw how panicked he was, but I couldn't find him anywhere. I looked around the whole hotel, but he's nowhere to be found, and it's been almost an hour. The ceremony starts in thirty minutes.

"I don't know, Maggie!" I shout back at her. "I came to check on him and he's nowhere. I looked around the whole hotel, but nothing," I throw my arms in the air in frustration. This is not good . . .

"Okay, uhm . . . Let's go look for him," she says and I roll my eyes.

"Thanks for the brilliant idea! I didn't think of that!" I say with sarcasm.

"Okay, stop talking to me like that. It's not my fault he ran away!" Maggie warns me.

"Sorry. Where should we start?" I calm down a little.

"Well, I'll go to the bar near their apartment," Maggie informs me, picking up her stuff and heading towards the door.

"I know a place where he usually goes when he needs some time alone or fresh air," I remember the place Brad once showed me.

"Then go there," the dark haired girl nods and hurries out of the room.

I pick up my car keys and hurry out of the room. Thanks to my clumsiness, I accidentally bump into someone. It's Evelyn . . .

"What are you doing out here?" I raise an eyebrow, trying to look as unfazed as possible. If we get Brad back in time, she won't have to know that he ran away.

"I'm looking for Maggie," the brunette turns her head in every side, hoping to see our friend.

"She . . . uhm . . . went out somewhere," I shrug.

"Oh, okay. If you see her, tell her I'll be in Ashley's room," she nods and walks back inside the room. I let out a sigh of relief and hurry out to my car.

I jump into the driver's seat and pull out of the hotel's parking lot. I drive for about fifteen minutes until I reach Brad's secret spot. It would've taken me a lot longer, but I didn't care about the red lights and all that crap, I need to get my friend back to the hotel to marry the love of his life.
