Ok so don't take this as me being racist. I am not. I see nothing wrong with being black or white, Asian, Martian, It doesn't matter to me.

And I'm not saying that the Confederacy is perfect. Or that slavery is good.

Of course if you disagree, that's fine. Talk about it with me in the comments. Insult me, and I most likely won't give a fuck about your opinion.

Just be nice, and I'll be nice.

So yeah. Here.

Also I know most of my chapters are jokes. Or based on something I'm actually mad at, but I joke on it a bunch.

This one. I'm serious. So sorry.

I'll go back to joking after this chapter dont worry. (Btw I may joke a lil)

I hope you read the entire thing before commenting. Honestly. It'd mean alot.

So. Call me bias, but I in fact, live in Alabama.

I love the south, and Alabama especially.

I was hoping to have some sort of discussion?

Maybe?

I don't like how the confederacy is portrayed. Often I see this bad evil man. Who's racist and a villain. Quotes from art I've seen. (I wont show the art because I don't want to make it seem like I'm attacking them, I have nothing against this person)

Example: a ref sheet I think. Has the confederacy and Union standing beside each other.

Confederate
•mean
•War is #1
•Stubborn
•Paranoid
•Loves Money

Union
•Soft Boy
•Peace
•Funny
•Kind

See the difference? Of course. Its obvious that the Confederacy in this example is the bad guy, and the Union is the good guy.

So I'm going to break this down.

Confederate is mean.

Well, I don't think it's hard to see why that's their headcanon. When you think of a person or place that enslaved people. I hope you realize that's wrong and they/that place ain't very good. So yeah, sure. Confederate is/could be mean. Particularly to the specific race. Though I'd say he could be a good guy, to certain people. Another thing to note is that slavery, was very normalized. It was a part of living. That doesn't make it good, but its still something to note.

(I'm not saying slavery is good. In any way. Just want to put this here.)

War is #1

I don't think so. War is always going to hurt people. There is no war without death, pain, sacrifice, and suffering.

What country would want or like war?

(Again I'm not trying to bash this person. I just don't want to make up an example. If you happened to draw the art of this, which i doubt you did, I'm sorry. I'm sure you are a wonderful person and had no ill intent)

So I disagree with this. Of my knowledge of the civil war, and its causes. Which I have done research, and it's very hard to find the truth and not just garbage about how the war was centered on slavery. Cause it wasn't. Slavery was a factor. A tool used to win.

But also alot of my knowledge is based conversations I've had, people I've met. I've heard both sides. (Though most from a southerners point of view cause this is Alabama. Lots of southerners.) ((And yes this could be insufficient evidence as it can very well be opinionated.
