Midnight Storm (Ateez)

Part 30

"Saaaaan!" Celestial calls out as she walks into the bedroom, smiling when she sees her fiancé in bed waiting for her.

"Yes baby?" San puts down the book in his hands, removing his reading glasses and setting them on the bedside table.

"So um.. remember what the doctor said earlier? About how um.. us doing.. well you know would help?" San nods, a smirk beginning to appear, "C-Can we?"

San stands, pulling Celestial to him to connect their lips in a passionate kiss. When she's on the bed he gently crawls on top of her, not breaking the kiss for a second.

Celestial sighs as she rocks back and forth, wincing when a contraction rips through her body. Tears begin to prickle in her eyes, the pain being to much for her. Her water broke three hours ago, she chose to do an at home birth knowing Faith and Yunho are more than willing to help deliver her little baby girl.

"Gosh why does this hurt so much?" Celestial asks herself as she tries to stand, quickly sitting back down when she finds that task to be to difficult at this moment.

Her attention snaps to the door when she hears it open, San coming inside with Seonghwa right behind him. Seonghwa was rolling in a blue yoga ball, a gown situated in his arms as well.

"We're going to help you change, then you're going to rock back and forth on this ball. It will help speed up the process. Yunho and Faith will be back from the store soon so we can see how dilated you are." All she does is nod in response as San helps her stand, helping her slowly rid of her clothing.

After many hours of pushing, crying, and small screams. Gwendolyn has finally made her appearance weighing at 6lbs and 3ounces, measuring at 18 inches long. Gwendolyn was born at 1:02am on December 16th, the new parents couldn't be happier to finally be holding their beautiful bundle of joy.

"Welcome to the world princess, mommy and daddy love you so much." Celestial and San kiss her forehead, cooing when Gwendolyn grunts.

Celestial smiles happily as she watches her father hold his granddaughter, he had tears leaving his eyes as he silently talked to the baby girl in his arms.

After having Gwendolyn, the fortress became more joyful then it even has been before. All of the pure bloods became happier as they got to spend more time with their parents.

Baby Gwendolyn loved her uncles and aunt, although it was Mingi who spent most of his free time with the baby. Mingi even told Celestial how him and Yunho have discussed adopting in the future, expressing how he couldn't wait to be a father to the new parents.

When tummy time started happening, Gwendolyn would grow fussy, not liking it at all. She would scream and cry until she realized it was actually a fun activity, her father making funny faces at her which caused her to giggle joyously.

When starting a bedtime routine, Gwendolyn was an angel. She went to bed automatically, although when she caught her first cold it threw that routine out the window.

Celestial and San both agreed that when she became old enough they wouldn't use jar food, rather they make it at home themselves.

Upon getting her first tooth was hectic, she was always chewing on something. Whether it be a tether, finger, someone's sleeve. She had to be chewing on something to ease the pain her poor little mouth was going through.

One night when her mother put her to bed, Celestial stayed up with one question on her mind. What kind of powers would her child have in the future? That one question had her wondering if she would take after San with the ability to control fire, or herself with the ability to control water.

Sighing she leans down and kisses her daughter cheek, exiting the room to take a shower. When she returns to the room she sees San laying in bed soundly asleep, smiling she crawls into bed and cuddles up to him, wishing both of her loves a goodnight before drifting off to dreamland.

Ok you guys, this wasn't as long as I wanted it. Even though I've been through childbirth I couldn't find the motivation to write it, and I'm sorry for that. I will in the future write a more detailed chapter involving childbirth it you guys want, I wanted to get something out to all of you in case y'all were waiting for an update in this book.
