Bell Cranel had once been many things, optimistic, hopeful, pure and a little childish. While remnants of these features remained he was much more than anyone would ever guess now. Bell once lived a simple life in the country, taken in by his grandfather after his parents died with Bell being the young age of 2 weeks. Bell's earlier years were spent running around the tiny farmland his grandfather had and listening to great stories of the Labyrinth city Orario and the super cool adventurers and god familias within.

Bell always listened to his grandfather's stories with starry eyes and would always ask to hear another one that had been told many times before. Before long, Bell had asked his grandfather if he was one of the amazing people in the stories and the reply he got was one joyous and filled with laughter, 'HAHAHA, once, long ago, I was one of these great adventurers. But, those days are now behind me and I am here, looking after my little rabbit.'

Bell didn't like his grandfathers nickname of Little Rabbit, but after hearing the fact that his grandfather had once been an amazing hero he had insisted he be trained by his grandfather. His grandfather refused at first but after many days of incredible begging by Bells cutest face his Grandfather gave in. Bell had rejoiced that day and his grandfather had laughed heartily before saying seriously, 'But, be warned little rabbit, I will not be an easy teacher. It will be even harder since you have no Falna my boy, but, rest assured, you will be a good fighter once I'm done.'

For many days after Bell was trained harshly by his merciless yet loving grandfather. Many times did Bell collapse but always he would stand back up and push forward, spurred forward by his belief in becoming a legendary hero. After many years of training, Bell was an amazing, Falnaless fighter that could best most. Then, his grandfather had passed away, disappearing completely. Bell mourned for many days before he steeled himself. Gathering his grandfather's metallic knife and leaving for the labyrinth city, Orario.

Bell travelled for many weeks, seeing great sights and facing little hardships, even thinning out a small group of goblin monsters that came onto the road. Then, it all went to shit. Bel had run out of valis and a kind man offered him a ride on his carriage. Bell, non-the-wiser, accepted. As they travelled to the next village they got a broken wheel and stopped. Bell offered and began fixing the wheel, only for the carriage driver to cover his mouth with a clothe and knock him out. Bell resisted and flung the man over his shoulder and into the carriage.

As Bell backed away he bumped into a person that had appeared from the forest standing behind him and turned to see a group of ten men, armed with daggers and clubs and wooden shields. Bell managed to avoid and repel only two and the carriage driver before he was struck over the head and his vision fuzzed. The men then club his face, bruising it horribly and forcing out blood. As he fell to his knees he was brutally bashed and beaten. After thoroughly beating Bell to near death and taking everything on him except for his shirt and pants, they threw him to the side of the road to die.

Bell had laid there for many hours, thinking over his life that had not been lived and imagining all he could've done. As he approached death coughed blood he reached to the sky and yelled, "I WANT TO LIVE!" before his arm fell to his side and darkness encompassed him. Bell had then awakened later in a stone room. After feeling his body and sitting up he realised he was clothed in white cloth and his wounds had been mostly healed. Bell had then had someone enter his room with tea and food.

After speaking with the newcomer he discovered he was in a safe house for a certain group after being brought in by a man named Hollen. Hollen was near Bell when he was attacked and watched as Bell took on all ten for a time. He then watched as Bell had been discarded like trash to the side and waited for several hours until he heard the words he needed to hear to be able to help, I want to live. Hollen then carried him to their safehouse. Bell had been shown around the safehouse and meet the man named Hollen, a lean man with a strong yet slim figure and dusty brown hair and a brown coat with black trousers.
