Chapter 16

                       CHAPTER 16

Jakes POV

Since I was kidnaped I get to have 2 weeks off from school with my family so I can recover. Each day I visit Sarah in the hospital but she is still in a coma. Its been about 4 days since we returned. I decide I should go visit Sarah. "Mom im going to the hospital" I call out while tying my shoes. "Ok sweetie just be safe please" My mom says and I promise her I will before I leave the house. I pull out my mp3 player and jam my headphones in my ears blaring the music as loud as it can go. Lately ive been shutting the world out and this has been my daily routine. I shut off my music as I enter the hospital. I walk down the halls ive become so familiar with. I stop outside room 208 where Sarah is.

I take a breath and push open the door and step inside. I stop when I see a girl with whitish blond hair crying. She's sitting on a boys lap who has shaggy dirty blond hair. I slowly walk over and sit in the chair next to them.They both look the same age as me so they must be Sarah's friends. "W-who ar-are you-ou?" The girl chokes out while still crying. "Im Jake. I was also kidnapped and I met Sarah. She's a really beautiful and sweet girl. So who are you?" I ask them. "Oh im Taylor and this is my girlfriend Paisley" says the guy named Taylor."You were kidnapped too?" Paisley asks me looking sad.

I nod my head and look down. Then I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. I look up and see Paisley. She pulls away and gives me a sad smile. "Im so sorry that had happened, No one deserves it" She whispers before going back to sit in Taylor's lap. "Well if it didn't I never would have met Sarah and im glad I did, she saved my life..." I tell them before tears start spilling out my eyes. Soon were all sitting in silence with tears rolling down our cheeks. It's a long time before anyone speaks. Then Paisley speaks up "Jake what school are you going to?" 

"Oh well I forget the name but it's the same school that Sarah is going to, But im getting 2 weeks to recover from being kidnapped and stuff" I explain. ( I actually forget what school name I said lol ) "Oh that's cool. Were both in Sarah's class so you already got some friends" Paisley says with a big smile. "Yea that's great" I say returning the smile. "Um excuse me?" I look over to see a nurse standing in the doorway. "Yeah?" Taylor and I say in unison. "Um visiting hours are up" She kindly says. I look over on the door then up at the clock. It's now 4 and I came at three. "Ok well were on our way miss" Paisley says politely.

We all stand up and I quickly walk over to Sarah and kiss her forehead before leaving. "Do you wana hang out?" Taylor asks me. "Uh sure I just gotta let my mom know" I say and walk towards the doors. "Why not just call her?" Taylor asks confused. I frown and look at him before answering. "I don't have a phone" I say and both of there jaws drop. Paisley reaches into her pocket and hands me her phone. "You can call using mine" She says and I smile my thanks and quickly dial my moms number.

"Hello?Who is this?" I hear my mom ask.

"It's me mom. Um I made some friends with some of Sarah's class mates and I was wondering if I can hang out with them?" I ask and have to pull the phone away from my ear when my mom shrieks.

"Jakey im so glad you are finally out of your depressed shell and made some friends!!" Another shriek. 

"Ow mom! Please stop shrieking. Your hurting my ears" I laugh. 

"Okay im sorry hunny. But yes you can go" my mom says.

"Ok thank you mom, bye" I quickly hang up and give Paisley back her phone.

"She said ya" I tell them. "Cool. Ok so im gonna text some people and we can all hang out at the park" Paisley says and I watch in amazement as her thumbs go a mile a minute. About 5 minutes later we've walked a block and a lot of people are coming to hang out at the park. "Ok so a lot of them are in the class and some are just friends from outside of school" Paisley tells me with her eyes still glued to the screen of her phone. "Uh ok" I say awkwardly. I don't know any of these people... What if they think im weird? Well I have to make a good impression. I use my hand to make my hair flat. Paisley laughs at me and I give her a playful glare before I stick my tongue out at her.

We finally reach the playground and I see a few kids sitting there looking bored. "Hey guys!" Paisley calls out to them and waves. We jog over and they all smile at me. "Hey my names Jake" I tell them. "This is Rebecca, Tamara, Parker, David, Tyler, Brittany and the twins Kaycee and Cassandra" Paisley points to each person telling me there names. "Hey, Hi, Sup" Each of them says there hellos and I say hi back. "Ok so whats it like being kidnapped?" asks Parker. "Um, bad? Well I got tied up and basically used as a slave and when me and Sarah were escaping I also got shot but we did have a bit of fun when we weren't being used as slaves." I explain.

I get a bunch of 'ooooooooos' and I blush but try to shake it off. ( Makes me think of Taylor swifts song lol)"Are you and Sarah a thing?" Tyler asks. "Uh I don't know.... Well she did call me her boyfriend it's actually a funny story...." I say recalling the time when she called me her boyfriend. "Can we hear it?" Paisley asks me, curious. "Sure" I say with a chuckle. "Ok so we were awake during the night and we were trying to escape when I tripped over something and it woke up everyone, so we had to run. We were running when I got shot in the arm then I fell to the ground and Sarah helped me up and led me behind a tree. Then she pulled out a gun she had hidden that she found and the guy started shooting at us, and she dove behind a tree. I was so worried she was gonna get shot but luckily she didn't. Then she shot the guy in the foot and then he fell and I think she walked up to him and shot him and the arm. Then she said 'That was for shooting my boyfriend you ahole!' But it was actually pretty funny to see" I finish telling them with a laugh. I miss Sarah so much........
