It's because of you
My feet tread softly on the loose, warm sand as the sun set slowly along the ocean. The sounds of crashing of waves and distant birds offering a peaceful setting. Fresh air- I hadn't gotten a good dosage of it in a long time. My sandals hung from my fingertips, the wind gently blowing my hair behind my face.
Work was tiring and keeping on top of homework as well was a pain in the ass. It was never ending- I can't feel anything apart from exhaustion. I need a break- a long one.
Several couples were out for their 'romantic evening sunset beach walk', saying cheesy phrases to each other about how they meant the world to them. 'You've probably said that to 4 different people by now' I scoffed, picking up a rock and skipping it across the water.
Why were you always there in the back of my mind, when I've tried so hard to forget you? Because you mean everything to me? I felt tears brim my eyes, so I bit my lip to hold back the heartache. I blinked furiously with my head tilted up, looking at the clouds trying to distract myself. I sat crouched next to the sea-line, feeling the water come up and occasionally touch my toes. Why am I like this? What did you do to me, Levi? Why am I desperately clinging onto you when we were only friends for only a few months? Tell me you're not interested in me- so I can just move on already. Who am I kidding- you've barely talked to me in years. Even then I was the one holding most of the brief conversation. How much more uninterested can you get... I gave up on you months ago.
That I'm suffering,
"(f/n)?" I flinched as I heard my name being called, standing quickly and turning my head to catch the owner of the voice. Why, after years, have you come back into my life? Can you imagine the pain you're causing by showing up in my life after I gave up on you?
"It's been a long time- what are you up to these days?" His voice had barely changed at all. It was a little less monotone, but still the deep smooth voice that you fell in love with without him knowing.I felt a tear drop fall down my cheek slowly as I stared at him, unable to give a response. His steel grey eyes almost glistening as a look of worry came over him. "(f/n)-"
"No." You whispered, letting your thoughts escape your lips. You trembled, thinking of thousands of things to say. "no no no no no-" You turned on your heels and started to speed walk away, almost stumbling in your distress. You can't do this to me- you can't act as if everything is just the same when I cried over you so much- even in a public bathroom. You can't just walk back into my life as if you were never missing when I spend nights feeling lost without you.Levi started chasing after you, calling out your name to try and get you to stop so he could check up on you.
"Leave me alone, Levi!" You yelled, sobbing loudly as you knew he was right behind you, nearly tripping over his feet.
"(F/n), what's wrong?" He tried to ask, grabbing your arm gently. You turned around and shook his hand off your arm violently.
"You can't do this to me Levi, I already gave up on you!" You yelled, continuing to walk away from him. My heart is going crazy- why do you still have this affect on me?"What are you talking about?!" He yelled in response, desperately trying to keep up with you.
"You're the problem Levi, you!" You exclaimed, wiping tears off your face with your sleeves as you didn't dare look back at him. He grabbed your arm one last time and spun you around to look at you and held you in firmly in place so you couldn't turn around again.
"What on earth do you mean?!" He desperately asked, wanting reason. His cheeks were slightly flushed and his face was ridden with worry, sadness and confusion. You trembled in his arms as you knew you had to answer him as he wouldn't let go.
"I fell in love with you, asshole!" You yelled, ripping yourself out of his arms and standing still- refusing to look at him. Levi stood there in shock, processing your words and emotions.
"What?" He stuttered. You bit your lip and looked at him with even more tears running down your red cheeks.
"You mean so much to me, I can't fight my heart. I tried to stop loving you- I really tried. I wasted so many nights crying over you knowing that my feelings weren't mutual." You ranted, holding your arms for comfort and warmth as the sun was now starting to fade. "I gave up even trying to be friends with you!" You yelled in frustration. It felt good to finally be able to unload everything that you had been holding in for agonisingly long. "So don't you dare just walk back into my life and waste all my efforts to try and forget you!"
Levi could only stare at you- hearing all your frustrations. The way the tears dripped off your face made his heart ache in grief- processing that he had severely hurt someone he considered a friend. Someone who once considered him as a friend. He had been so careless in his running around, not realising that he really had an impact on those who he met. In all the memories they once shared together, she always seemed happy to him- now realising how alone and hurt she was without him realising. He flinched as he felt a warm tear drip down his face as you turned for the last time and started to walk off without him."I'm so sorry..." Levi whispered, unable to do anything more.
And gave up on love.

A/N: yoyoyo my funky fresh Levi fangirls! I have no idea what my updating schedule is gonna be like as I'm going to be switching between editing and writing. But I also start school again tomorrow and I'm going to be drowning in IB homework... (if any of you guys are doing IB, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET YOUR HOMEWORK DONE) But fear not! This shall be one of my many creative outlets.
Anyway I was trying to write out my emotions and I was like 'hey, what better way than to turn this into a oneshot?', and honestly I feel a lot better. Levi may have been a wee bit out of character in this one but idk
