1.2 Lost

With a flashlight from the student council room, Eunbi walked through the dim hallways. Tagging along behind her was the youngest of the student council, Wonyoung.

The two were taking care of documents when the whole thing happened. Along the way, they had already encountered with many of the creatures.

Heck, they even saw a teacher get turned into a zombie along the way. Nevertheless, Eunbi put up a strong front in order to console the younger.

They were walking along the corridors when all of a sudden, something appeared.

"BOOYAH"

"AHHH" the two shouted.

Eunbi's blood boiled when she saw who it was.

"Kang Hyewon! What the fuck is wrong with you?! This is not the time to be playing pranks!"

"Hehehe you guys just looked so tensed I thought I might loosen you guys up a bit"

Eunbi rolled her eyes and continued going her way.

"Hey wait for me! Miss President, worry not I'll protect the both of you" Hyewon said as she jogged next to Eunbi.

At the end of the hallway was a classroom. Cautiously, the oldest among the three opened the door.

"Looks like it's empty. We should stay here for now."

Little to her knowledge, a zombie was approaching her from the side.

"Kwon Eunbi Look out!!" Hyewon yelled as she pulled Eunbi, milliseconds before the zombie could pounce on her.

She then kicked the zombie's stomach before crushing his head with a chair.

Eunbi was frozen in her place, unable to move from shock.

"Hey are you okay?"

"Y-yeah i'm fine" Eunbi said as she stared at the zombie lying on the floor "Let's pull the body outside and lock the door"

"Yes ma'am" Hyewon saluted.

"Wonyoung-ah we're safe here" Eunbi reassured as she turned behind her.

However, there was no response. She quickly scanned the surroundings.

"Where is Wonyoung?"

Wonyoung ran and ran and ran. She had instantly bolted out the moment the zombie appeared. Her heart was thumping like crazy and her whole body was filled with adrenaline.

Saying that she was terrified was an understatement. Before she knew it, she was at the school's gymnasium.

She slumped down on the floor, trying to catch her breath.

"Why do things have to turn out this way?" she thought.

Before she could stand up, she heard footsteps approaching her.

Bathump bathump bathump

Her heart rate increased drastically. She was too scared to turn around. Gathering all of her non-existent courage, she looked behind her, only to see an undead with its neck bent, approaching her.

Her legs felt like jelly. She couldn't get up.

Step by step, the zombie came towards her, as if it was trying to savor the moment. The zombie was only a few steps away from her when a voice sounded from behind the zombie.

"QUICK!! THROW ME THE BAT BESIDE YOU"

In a matter of a second, Wonyoung controlled her shaking hands and threw the bat with all her energy towards the person.

And in a flash, the zombies head was off. Wonyoung shrieked in fear and tears started flowing down her cheeks.

A pair of arms wrapped around her as they gently patted her head.

"You'll be okay Youngie" The owner of the arms cooed "I'm here"

For a few minutes, they just spent time like this, with Wonyoung quietly sobbing.

The arms didn't let go until Wonyoung had calmed down.

"Yujin....Why are you here?"

Yujin pulled Wonyoung gently, helping her to stand up.

"I was in the changing room when all these creatures started appearing" Yujin replied "And then I saw you, cornered by that thing"

"Ahh...Thank you Yujin-ah"

"No problem" Yujin grinned "I promised I would always be your hero right?"

Wonyoung chuckled at the memory of a young Yujin promising her that she'd always be her hero.

The two then walked towards the school building that Wonyoung was previously at in silence.

"Say Youngie...." Yujin brine the silence "Do you think that we could go back to the way we were before?"

Wonyoung was surprised by what Yujin said. She never imagined Yujin would say something like that.

"Yujin-ah I-"

They were at a three way intersection at a corridor when they heard hasty footsteps coming closer towards them.

"Wonyoung-ah don't make any noise" Yujin quickly said as she held the other's hand tight.

She had a hard grip on the bat in her other hand. As she was getting ready for action, she saw four familiar faces running towards them.

Yujin broke out into a smile as she waved at them.

"Hitomi! Chaeyeon! Why are you guys running?!" she shouted.

Sakura and Nako were with them as well. All four of them yelled words but Yujin couldn't understand what they were saying.

"What are you saying?!"

They were a few meters away when all four of them roared in unison.

"THERE'S A GROUP OF ZOMBIES BEHIND US"

"WHAT?!"

True to their words, a horde of zombies was preying after them.

Yujin and Wonyoung ran into the corridor to their left in impulse. Following behind them was Sakura, Nako, Chaeyeon, Hitomi and the group of zombies.

"WHY ARE YOU GUYS COMING THIS WAY?!" Wonyoung bawled.

"I DON'T FUCKING KNOW" Nako shouted.
