4.1 Bitten

"Wow.... It's the beachhhh" Wonyoung exclaimed as she stood up from where she was sitting on the boat, looking at the beach of Jeju Island in a distance.

"Yeah.... It's a wonderful beach....." Hyewon agreeded before frowning ".....but filled with zombies"

The girls squinted and saw that the whole area of the beach was full of grey green creatures pacing around.

"Nako-yah" Eunbi called out "We can't land here.... Take us around to the back of the island"

"Yes ma'am" Nako replies before steering the boat away from the beach.

Soon, they got to a secluded part where no zombies were in sight.

One by one, they cautiously stepped out of the boat and landed.

Eunbi gathered everyone up and spoke.

"According to Kaeun, the laboratory is located somewhere deep in the mountains. We should split up into two groups and search."

The girls agreeded and formed two groups of six. Their hearts pounded hard as they knew that they finally arrived in Jeju Island- The place where everything begun.

Eunbi, Hyewon, Yena, Yuri, Nako and Hitomi were a team while the rest were the other team.

As they climbed up the mountains and through the tall trees, not one zombie came into sight.

Yena clutched tightly onto the radio transmitter that they got from the gang back in Incheon as she looked around.

Something felt totally off.

Her ducky senses were tingling.

"Yuri-ah stay close to me" Yena said seriously as she pulled the girl closer to her, trying to fight the uneasy feeling off.

She glanced at the other girls and from the look on their faces, Yena knew she wasn't the only one who felt that something wasn't right about this place.

All of a sudden, Hyewon paused.

"What is it?" Nako whispered, startled by the girl's actions.

"Did you hear it?"

"Hear what?"

"It's probably just my imagination" Hyewon shook her head "Let's continue searching."

(It wasn't)

At the other side of the mountain, the three couples were extra careful as well.

"I'm getting a bad feeling somehow" Chaeyeon muttered as her eyes darted, observing the surroundings.

"Any buildings in sight Yujinnie?" Sakura asked Yujin who was in front of them.

"Nope" Yujin replied as she jogged back to the others "Is the laboratory actually here even?"

"I don't know..... But we should trust Kaeun's words and continue the search" Chaewon stated, earning nods from the girls.

Back at Hyewon's group, the girls felt a heavy load on their shoulders with each step they took.

They couldn't get rid of the feeling even with Yena's lame jokes.

Just then, Hyewon stopped again.

"I heard it" She mumbled as she looked to the ground "For sure this time".

"Wha-WAH" Hitomi was cut off when all of a sudden, a hand emerged out of the soil under them and grabbed Hyewon's leg.

"Fuck they're underneath us!!!" Eunbi alarmed the others just in time as more and more zombies crawled out of the soil.
