as we were trying to leave the classroom, i noticed that uraraka, iida, and midoriya were standing frozen in the doorway, and i let out a muttered "shit" once i saw the reason they were standing in the door like that.

the hallway was being blocked by a horde of other students.

'oh shit oh fuck dammit dammit there's so many fucking people how the fuck am i gonna get through i just want to find hitoshi so we can go home and look at cats please god if you're listening help me out'

you're so fucking annoying. jesus christ

"wh-what's going on?" uraraka exclaimed in shock at the horde.

"what business do you have with class a?" iida immediately asked, raising a hand in his exaggerated knife-hand motions. "we can't get out! what'd you come here for, anyway?" the grape pervert complained as he sped forwards.

"scouting out the enemy, small fry. we're the ones who made it out of the villains' attack. they probably wanna check us out before the sports festival. there's no point in doing stuff like that. out of my way, extras!" bakugou spoke neutrally at first, but got more aggressive at the end. i facepalmed at him. he's such an asshole, i swear to christ.

"stop calling people 'extras' just because you don't know them!" iida scolded, but was ultimately ignored.

"i came to see what the famous class a was like, but you seem pretty arrogant," a familiar voice spoke up, and a smile formed on my face as i recognized who it belonged to.

the purple haired boy moved up to the front of the crowd, and i smiled at him as he did.

"are all the students in the hero course like this?"

i frowned slightly at that. hitoshi knew i was in this class, and he knew that all people weren't arrogant like he was saying. but he still said it. i'm probably gonna end up scolding him for that stupid ass comment later.

"seeing something like this makes me disillusioned. there are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn't make it into the hero course. did you know that?" he rhetorically asked, and i could tell that bakugou was scowling at my best friend, who honestly didn't look bothered in the slightest

i know how hitoshi felt about being slighted the way he had been. i had cried and apologized to him so much after i found out that i'd made it in and he hadn't, but he had only told me that he'd see me at the top soon enough.

"the school has left those of us a chance. depending on the results of the sports festival, they'll consider our transfer into the hero course. and it seems they may also transfer people out. scouting out the enemy? i, at least, came to say that even if you're in the hero course, if you get too carried away, i'll sweep your feet out from under you. i came with a declaration of war," hitoshi stated, and i smiled at him again.

everyone in my classroom was tense, aside from the few people that were confident enough in their abilities to not have to worry about my best friends' words.

hitoshi seemed to notice that i was smiling at him, and smiled at me as well, gaining me some looks from some of my classmates. i quickly hid my face behind my silver hair, not wanting to be the focus of their attention.

"hey hey!" another voice called out, and we turned to see who it was.

"i'm from class b next door! i heard you fought against villains, so i came to hear 'bout it! don't get so full of yourself!" tetsutetsu shouted, and i winced a bit.

he then seemed to notice i was there, and grinned at me.

"hi, sasaki-san! i hope you do well in the festival!"
