Part 9: A Chance To Start Anew

(well I have to rewrite this entire thing sooo yeah, also I'm gonna try to put songs in every chapter from here on out :0)

"Let's go home..."

"Hey over here!" Y/N called out. "What is it?" I asked. "I found a boat! With paddles!"
"So we can finally get out of here!?" I exclaimed. She nodded happily. "We can finally go home!" She exclaimed. I smiled, I could finally be happy with her... and her alone.. away from the kids, away from the despair.. Suddenly the ground shook. "N-no..." I muttered. "W-whats happening!?" Y/N exclaimed. I turned around to see a giant monokuma walking around. "W-what the..."
"Y/N her plan's coming to life!" I said, "Who's plan?" she asked. "Monaca's, she's trying to get the future foundation and the remnants of despair to go to war...."
"The what?"
"No time to explain, we've got to go or we die." I explained. "B-but you just explained..." she started, suddenly a gunshot was heard and it soared past my head. I turned around quickly to be met by a demon. "Wh-whoah! Hey! We're on your side!" Y/N said, raising her hands up. "Stop fucking lying! You're on those kids side! Now's the time for us to stand up against them!"
I saw a black figure behind a wall, "Y/N, keep talking." I said. "O-okay.. look we're not on their side! We're just trying to get out of this chaos, why can't you understand that!?" The figure slowly walked up to the demon, revealing their features. They had long black hair, glowing red eyes and was wearing a suit. "Say.. do you want to die?" I asked the demon. "Huh??"
"Now." I said as the person behind them snapped their neck. Y/N jumped. The demons body slumped over and fell to the ground. "W-what- what just happened?"
"You. Who are you?" I asked the newcomer. "W-why did you help us?" Y/N added. "Who ever said I was helping you?" the person said without emotion. "Y/N get behind me now." Something inside the persons eyes changed, a look of shook filled their face for only a second. "Nagito... what do we do?" she asked me. "Tell me who you are!" I yelled. This despair that's emitting from them... it's nothing like I've felt before.... They opened their mouth and said, "Izuru Kamakura."

"Izuru?" Y/n asked. "N-no that can't be true." she began walking towards the person, "Wait! What are you doing!?" I asked trying to pull her back. "Nagito." she said looking back, "Just trust me."
"You could die!"
"Just trust me!" she pleaded.

(P.O.V change)

His expression softened, "O-okay... I trust you." he said letting me go. "Thank you." I walked towards Izuru who hasn' t moved an inch. I looked into his eyes which searched mine. "You know me don't you?" I asked. He remained silent. "You may not look the same but.. I think I know you." His expression turned into one of sheer confusion. "Who am I?" he asked. That voice... it has to be his.. and those eyes are easy to place. "Hajime... is that you?" i asked. "What?? How is he Hajime?" Nagito asked. Izuru simply stayed silent but looked down. "What happened to you Hajime? I thought you died??"
"I'm not Hajime," he said, "Not anymore."
"Well mr. not Hajime, I have something for you regardless." I said taking a clip out of my hair and handing it to him. "Here, it's from ChiChi."
"C-chiaki??" Izuru asked, taking the hair clip. "She wanted you to have it..." I said. He looked down at it sadly, tears started welling up in his eyes. I felt Nagito pull at my arm. "This is our chance to run," he said, I nodded. "See ya Izuru."

"Wait... you want to get away from this city right?" he said. "Y-yeah?" 
"Well look over there," he said, pointing to the water. Me and Nagito turned around to see a medium sized boat approaching. "How the..." 
"Use that as your escape, I'll be taking my leave now." he said leaving. "Hey!!! Over here!!" I yelled towards the boat. "Help us!!" 
"Wait... that's-" I waved my hands around, definitely getting the boats attention.  The boat made it's way over to us, Nagito put a protective arm in front of me. The door on the side of the boat opened to greet us with...

"Makoto??" I asked. "Y/N?!" He exclaimed, " What the hell are you doing here!?" 
"I could ask the same for you!" Nagito stared at him, shocked. "What are you doing with a remnant of despair?" Makoto asked me. "Huh??" He pointed towards Nagito. "What are you doing with him?" 
"It's...it's actually him.." Nagito whispered. "Can you get us away from here??" I asked Makoto. "Y-yeah! Get on!" He hurried us onto the boat. 

"Hey what are all these rooms for?" I asked as we walked around the boat. "They're rooms for the other remnants" Makoto explained. "We need him to go into one."
"Why?"
"He's one of them.."
"Well if he's going then I'm going to!" I exclaimed. "First let me explain something to the both of you." We both nodded. (explanation time :0) "The remnants of despair are people impacted and who worship the ultimate despair, Junko Enoshima. We the future foundation are trying to group together those remnants," he started, "Why??" I asked. "We have a way to save them." My heart lit up. "We can help Nagito!?" I exclaimed. "Yes, we can erase Junko's influence." 
"H-how?" Nagito asked. "By erasing your memories." He gasped. "A-all our memories!?" he asked. "No no, we're erasing the memories of her, nothing else." He sighed. "Thank god... I won't forget about you..." he said. "By doing that we'll be erasing your school memories." 
"What!?" Nagito yelled. "No! Isn't there some other way!?" 
"I'm afraid not.. that's the only way to get rid of Junko.." 
"B-but I'll forget about Y/N..." 
"You'll forget about me??" I asked. "Yes.. I... I can't lose Y/N again.. so please ultimate hope, isn't there another way?!" 
"You don't want to be under Junko's influence forever do you?" Nagito shook his head. "Then this is the only way."
"What will happen to him?" I asked. "He'll go through a simulation, where he learns how to spread hope." 
"No." Nagito spoke up. "I won't do it if I'll forget about Y/N" Makoto sighed, "I understand but you can't stay like this." Nagito looked down, "I don't want to be like this, I don't want to keep hurting Y/N..."
"Then let's go through the simulation." I said. "H-huh?!" Nagito gasped. "You don't have to go through this alone, and if this helps you then... I want to help too." Nagito looked at me gratefully. "You... you would really do that? Just to be with me? Why???"
"Well...

I just want things to be normal..."

(Well here's the end of this story! I kinda didn't know how to end it cause I truly suck at ending things so my apologies! I'll hopefully have the first chapter of the sequel up later today!! For now, see ya!)
