Is this the end?

"Shit, we're out of arrows!" Tobin says as she hands me the last one.

"That's okay, I only need this one to do the job," I say smirking as I spot a gas canister on the side of the building.

"get ready to duck when I release the arrow," I say to her

I pull back the bowstring and aim my arrow directly through the middle of it before letting go and ducking behind the small ledge.

A loud explosion is heard behind us so I slowly peek over the edge to see the area around it up in flames.

"Nice shot Skye," Tobin says smirking

"It's not quite over yet Tobs, we've stopped them from getting in but there still more out there," I say to her

"Then what's the plan," Tobin asks as we make our way off the roof and back inside the building.

"we attack, and hopefully stop more troops from getting near" I say wanting to end this once and for all

"you're the boss," Tobin says patting my back and smiling at me

I just roll my eyes at her and carry on running back to our room where, hopefully, everyone is.

"they've been gone for almost an hour now, I'm getting worried" I hear some say as we come up to the room.

"Just trust Skye, I know she's alright," Julie says making me smile

"Sorry we took so long, traffic," I say popping my head into the room.

We are suddenly bombarded with hugs from everyone saying they are relieved that we are back and okay

"We thought something happens to you guys" Christen says pulling away from hugging Tobin

"there were just more of them than we initially thought and unfortunately it's not over just yet either" I say

"what do you mean?" Ash asks confused

"Skye managed to stop them from coming into the building but they are still in the forests so we need to clear them out" Tobin explains.

"So the only way that they are going to stop is if we destroy the source of them?" Alex asks

"exactly, if we blow that up to them they will be forced to retreat," Tobin says

"well, how do we do that exactly?" Carli questions

"we'll probably have to do a group attack on them all, catch them by surprise while they focus on raiding the place," Tobin says while I stay quiet

"but would that work though, you guys have already made yourself known," Hope says butting in this time.

I let them discuss back and forth between each other while my thoughts drift off somewhere else.

I know that I said we need to collect equipment to figure out why we're here and to help us find a plan to escape, but what if this is our chance to escape.

What if this is the only time we can all get out of here without being chased down. I keep going through ideas in my head trying to figure out the best plan of action because there's no telling if this could go horribly wrong too.

We might not even make it past the enemy to get away from these guys and then if we do, we've still got to worry about being hunted because God knows where we are right now.

Let's say we do escape, I can't just leave all the other people in here to rot and be tortured by these monsters. I need to free them too, help them get back to their families and friends like we all want to.

It's been 6 months since we were kidnapped in the night and I don't even know how long others have been here for.

This is no place to live your life and it's certainly no place to die.

"Skye!" I hear Julie shout snapping me out of my head

"I've called you three times, you've been staring into the distance," Julie says sounding concerned

"Yeah sorry I was just lost in thought for a second, what's going on," I say trying my best to show a reassuring smile

"we're just talking about the plan of action and we need your input," She says.

"okay yeah sure, I just need to speak with Ash and Alex for one second," I say and grabbing both their hands pulling them to the far corner of the room

"What's going on Skye, you've got your planning look on your face," Ash says speaking up

"Look, I know the three of us have been trying to figure a way out of here for some time now without the others knowing and getting all this gear would really help us," I say

"Get to the point Skye" Alex replies

"what if we didn't wait any longer, I know we wanted to plan this, but I think this might be our time," I say waiting for their reaction

"wait as in like right now, now?" Alex says with raised eyebrows

"Yes like right now, think about it, all the guards will be distracted with fighting the enemy giving us probably our best chance of escaping and with all this armoury we have, I ain't know when would be a better time" I reply

"This would be extremely risky though, no route has been planned out, we wanted to tell the group at least a week ahead of time so they could be prepared, this is going to be a lot to take in, especially for the youngsters" Ash says crossing her arms over her chest

"I know that but what if we don't get another chance, most likely after this attack is over they are going to double-down on security and it's going to be chocka with guards making our life ten times harder." I answer trying to get them to agree with me

"Skye does have a point Ash, I know we wanted a solid plan but I really do think this is our best shot of freedom" Alex says agreeing with me

"I know you're right but it scares me, I think of everyone as my family here and I would hate for something to happen, I've finally found the girl I love and God forbid," Ash says trailing off as tears spring in her eyes

"there's no way in hell I would let anything happen to anyone, I made that promise to myself months ago that I would protect you all if it was the last thing I do," I say confidently placing a hand on Ash's shoulder as she takes a deep breath in

"How are we going to tell the others" Ash finally says making me smirk.

"well, first of all, we need to gear up," I say pointing to all the guns and blades we stole from the armoury

"I've waited too long for this day," Alex says smiling and spinning a gun on her finger

"erm what is going on guys," Christen asks looking at us from across the room.

I look back at Alex and Ash waiting for them to speak up and tell them the plan

"it's your idea boss, go ahead" Ash smirks patting my shoulder

"we breaking out" I reply "Once and for all"
