Shopping (part 2)

(Y/N)'s POV:

I woke up and felt that I was in Steven's arms, my gem changed into a dark purple and my cheeks went pink. This was a mistake, right? I stayed in place since I didn't want to wake up Steven and I eventually fell back asleep again. I woke up again to see me on the other side of the bed.

Steven was sitting up and stretching. I started giggling as I realized Steven attempted to make things not awkward by moving me off of him. "Oh hey, you're awake," Steven said as he looked back at me. "What do you want to eat?" Steven asked me.

"Umm, do you have any burgers?" I asked not knowing what to eat. "For breakfast?" Steven asked puzzled by my choice of food. "What are you supposed to eat for breakfast?" I asked. "Do you like waffles?" Steven asked. "Oh yes! I remember waffles, I haven't had them in years," I replied excitedly. "You really need to talk about how you got here," Steven said then sighed. "I could tell you right now," I said.

"That would be helpful." Steven replied. "Well, when I did live on earth with my dad around here until I was five or six, I don't really remember what happened. I do remember being taken away by someone, I was then put in a cage for I think nine or ten years. I think it was something to do with my gem. I used to live near here, I think we used to be friends? I don't remember much from when I was young." I said with my gem turning dark blue.

"It is possible that we knew each other, maybe the gems remember you," Steven replied. "That is true, but none of them looked like they recognized me," I replied. "Oh, when we met didn't you say you were a half gem like me?" I questioned realizing what I've forgotten.

"Oh yeah! I'm a rose quartz, but technically a pink diamond, my powers are that I can heal stuff, I have a shield, and I can make a bubble to protect stuff." Steven says as he lifted his shirt to reveal his gem, Steven explained. "That's so cool! I'm confused on how you are a pink diamond but also a rose quartz," I said confusingly. Steven told me the whole story about his mom and I finally understood.

"Oh! Pearl said she was going to take me shopping today." I said excitedly with my gem turning yellow. Steven and I headed downstairs. I see Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet. Pearl and Amethyst were arguing. "Why can't I come?" Amethyst yells. "Because I said I'd go with (Y/N) to get her clothes but something came up for me and Garnet so I need you to stay back and go with (Y/N)." Pearl said back. "Okay, I'll go with (Y/N)" Amethyst said back in an annoyed tone.

"If I'm causing trouble we don't have to go," I said thinking that I was an inconvenience to the gems. "No it's fine, the gems just argue sometimes," Steven reassured me. Steven made the waffles and we all ate them."Okay, let's get going (Y/N), Steven you can come with us if you'd like," Amethyst said gesturing to the door. "Okay I'll come," Steven said as we all headed out to a mall.

We shopped around for a while and bought lots of clothes. We all stopped at a lingerie store, me and Amethyst looked at each other while laughing, Steven just stared awkwardly. "Okay we're going in!" I yell as I walk in. "Wait up!" Amethyst yells catching up with me.

"I guess I'll wait here!" Steven yelled so we could hear. "C'mon, you're coming with us!" Amethyst yells as she runs back and grabs Steven. I start looking around the store and I hear a conversation between Steven and Amethyst.

"This'll look good on (Y/N), right Steven?" Amethyst asks well smirking. "Umm, I guess?" Steven replies flustered. "Look, I really shouldn't be here," Steven says. "Pfft, why?" Amethyst replies knowingly. "Guys aren't supposed to be in these kinds of stores." Steven replies annoyed.

"It'll be fine!" Amethyst says while trying to hold back her giggles but fails desperately. "Okay I found some stuff, I'll go try it on now," I said while heading to the changing room. "Here, try on these." Amethyst says while handing over the lingerie the Steven agreed that it would look good on me. "How many?" A store worker asks me as I hand over the stuff. "Just five," I say.

I try on the one that Amethyst gave me. "I don't know about this..." I say as I look in the mirror. "Do you want to get my input?" Amethyst said while laughing. "I don't know..." I said while being concerned if she questions my scars. "C'mon (Y/N), I won't judge," Amethyst reassures me. "Okay... just this one," I say as she opens the door but blocks it so Steven can't see.

Amethyst closes the changing room door and immediately looks at my scars. "Shhh," I whisper holding my finger to my mouth and then to my scars to symbolize not to say anything because of Steven. Amethyst nods and attracts her attention to the lingerie. "It looks hot! It really fits you!" Amethyst yells. "You think I should get it?" I question. "Obviously!" She yells making it seem like a big deal.

After we were done shopping Amethyst suggested I get a haircut since my hair was so long it was almost touching the ground. I agreed and only got a bit of a trim to get the dead ends. "You didn't really change it that much," Amethyst protests that I get it cut shorter. "I like it the way it is," Steven says with a smile. "Thanks Steven!" I accept the compliment. "I guess it's fine if everyone else is fine with it," Amethyst says calmly.

We decided to head back since it was getting late. "Hey Pearl and Garnet! How was the mission?" Steven asked. "Not good, we need Amethyst," Garnet said. "Okay, how long will this take?" Amethyst questions. "If we're lucky we'd be back in the morning." Pearl says. Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst say goodbye to me and Steven as they head out to their mission.

"How often do the gems go on missions?" I question. "Sometimes everyday, I usually go with them but since your here I thought it would be better to wait awhile till your comfortable here," Steven replies. "Thanks Steven, i'd hate to be alone here, maybe one day I can come with you?" I suggest. "That would be great!" Steven replies excitedly.

"Well I guess it's just us tonight," Steven says. "Yeah... do you want to build a fort?!" I ask excitedly. "That sounds like fun!" Steven replies. We both start working at a fort. Once it was built we added blankets and lights inside. I went to the washroom to change and I was about to put on my pajamas but then I realized we didn't buy any.

"Ummm... Steven!" I called out hoping he'd hear. "Yeah!" He called out yelling. "I don't have any pajamas..." I replied. "I'll get some of my clothes," He said as I could hear him running up to his room. "Here you go," he said handing me some of his old clothes. I put them on keeping on the same sweater I had on.

I came to the fort and waited for Steven to change. He came downstairs and brought some snacks. We both sat down and ate some snacks. "How long do you think I could stay?" I ask. "Hopefully forever," He said not really thinking about it. "I-I mean if you want to," Steven says flustered.

"I hope so," I say. I put my head on Steven's shoulder. I jump as I realize what I just did. "No, it's fine!" Steven says reassuring me. "If you say so..." I say as I put my head on his shoulder and fall asleep.
