Valentine's Day (Part 7)

(Y/N)'s POV:

I woke up and saw that Steven was sleeping beside me. I got up and went downstairs and noticed the date. Oh, it's February 14th. Wait... it's Valentine's Day isn't it? I blushed at the idea of giving chocolates to Steven. "Hey (Y/N)," Steven said while walking in. "Sorry if I scared you yesterday... I knew some of the guards from when they helped me escape last time." I explained, Steven nodded.

The gems appeared from the warp. "Steven, we need your help. It'll only take around three hours," Garnet said. "Okay, I'll be right there. Just let me have a quick snack first." Steven said while grabbing something quick and heading out with the gems for a mission. I had a shower then got ready to go outside. I made some food and ate it before I left.

Maybe I should stop at the Big Donut... actually it'd be weird going in without buying anything since I don't have any money. As I was walking I tripped and looked back to see Treys leg sticking out to trip me. He started laughing as I heard a girl's voice, "Hey stop that! (Y/N) are you okay?" Connie said while she held out her hand. "Yeah, it's just a little blood..." I said while I took her hand and got up. I looked to see Trey already gone.

"Who was that? Why would he even want to hurt you?" Connie asked. "He's a jerk, that's all," I said while struggling to hold my balance. "Let's get you some help," Connie said while gesturing me to hold onto her shoulder to get my balance. I held onto her shoulder as we walked into the Big Donut. "Ouch, that looks like it hurt," Lars said.

"I'll get a bandage for you," He said while going to the back. "Here let's sit down," Connie said while pushing out a chair, Connie and I sat down. "Good thing you were close by, thanks" I thanked Connie for her actions. "No problem! Are you planning to do anything for Valentine's Day?" Connie asked. "I wanted to make some chocolates but I don't have any of the ingredients..." I said disappointed.

"We could go back to my house and make some!" Connie suggested. "Really?! That sounds fun!" I said excitedly. Lars came back out and brought me a big bandage as well as some paper towels. "Sorry it took so long I was trying to find one big enough for a cut like that," Lars explained. "No it's fine! Thanks for your help!" I thanked Lars for his help.

Lars handed me the bandage and he ripped off some paper towel and wiped some blood off of my knee. I stuck the bandage on. Connie and I decided to head to her house. I thanked Lars again and left with Connie. We both made a whole bunch of chocolates and took about an hour and a half to finish all of them. "I have bags and heart boxes we can put them in if you were going to give them to someone," Connie said.

"Are you planning to give some to anyone?" I asked Connie. "Yes, to Steven." Connie said. "Okay, I'll give some to him as well then," I said while putting some in a heart box. I put some of the leftovers of my batch in a bag. "Who are those for?" Connie asked. I tied up the bag and held it out to Connie. "It's for you, I wanted to thank you in some way for today," I said while she took the bag.

"Thank you! Here try one of mine!" She said while handing one to me. I took a bite out of it and it tasted amazing! "Sorry, I didn't have more leftovers, I wasn't planning to give out anymore then I made. I hope we get to spend more time like this," Connie said. "Yeah, me too. I see why you and Steven are such good friends, you're so kind!" I complimented her, Connie blushed.

"Actually, can you give my chocolates to Steven? I have to study today," Connie explained. "Sure!" I said while Connie finished the chocolates by writing a note with it. Connie walked me out of her house and we both waved bye. I walked into Steven's house as I saw Steven was home early. I quickly hid the chocolates behind my back.

"(Y/N), what did you do today?" Steven asked. "Connie and I hung out," I said. "What happened to your knee?" Steven asked noticing the bandage on my knee. "Well... Trey tripped me but I'm fine! Connie was there to help me and we stopped at the Big Donut and Lars got a bandage." I explained. Steven removed the bandage and kissed my knee. Instantly the pain was gone from standing for most of the day.

"Thanks!" I said while trying to scoot away. "What's behind your back?" Steven asked. My gem turned purple as I started to blush. "Umm... here! This is from Connie!" I handed the chocolates that Connie made as well as the note. I ran off hiding mine, Steven looked confused why I ran. Why did I run?! That was the perfect time to give it to him! He's going to think I'm weird for running off... maybe I shouldn't give it to him after all.

Someone tapped me on the back, I turned back to see Garnet. "Oh hey Garnet!" I said. "You should give it to him," Garnet suggested. "Why should I," I ask, questioning her objective. "What's the worst that could happen? Your giving him something he'll be thankful for it," Garnet said reassuring me. Well she can tell the future, maybe something good will happen?

"Thank you Garnet!" I thanked her for giving me the courage I needed. I was going to wait for the perfect moment. I hid them underneath Steven's bed on my side. I walked over to Steven, "can we watch a movie?" I asked. "If you want to," Steven said. We both headed to his room and put on a movie. After the movie finished I asked, "can we watch another one?"

I was shaking and trying to find the perfect moment. "One more," Steven said. After the second movie it was already dark outside. We both sat up from laying down so we didn't fall asleep. My gem turned dark purple as I tried to find that courage I had when Garnet encouraged me. "Umm, S-Steven?" I said while grabbing the chocolates underneath the covers without him noticing.

"Yes?" Steven answered. I went and sat in front of Steven on my knees with the chocolates behind my back. I took the chocolate box and handed it out while blushing deeply. "W-Will you be my valentine?" I asked while shaking. I-I didn't mean to ask that! I was just going to say "here, I made some chocolates" I'm so dumb!

I saw that Steven was blushing and was taken by surprise.  "I'm sorry if I made things awkwar-" I was cut off by Steven pushing his lips on mine. Now I was taken by surprise, I sank into the moment as I closed my eyes and melted into the kiss, his lips were so soft. When we both pulled away we were both blushing like crazy. "I-I'm Sorry! I didn't ask for consent!" Steven yelled while being concerned.

"Don't be sorry for that! If you asked me I wouldn't be in a state to respond since I was so nervous." I reassured Steven it was fine. "W-We should go to sleep now," I said while going back to my side and putting on the covers. "Y-Yeah," Steven agreed while he set the chocolate box aside. I'm so confused about what's going to happen next, but I'm sure of one thing... Garnet ships us.
