Hide and seek was surprisingly fun for a game I used to only play when I was a child.
When it was my turn to be it, I found Zoe hiding in the clothes dryer which honestly freaked me out more than my dreams did. Once I saw a face in the wheel, I was half convinced that this amazing house really was haunted.
I was still freaking out over how close I had been to being caught snooping in Calum's things. I'd explained that I'd bumped into his room which wasn't a lie.
We didn't talk about what happened in the bathtub at all and that kinda made me sad.
But the cheeky looks from Zoe every few minutes told me she wanted to know everything.
"What game next?" Zoe asked, pulling me out of my thoughts as she shoved a handful of popcorn into her mouth. "Truth or dare?"
"Why are we playing twelve year old games?" Calum asked, giving me an amused look and I smiled in return.
"Because we're all twelve," I sarcastically announced and Zoe chuckled a little.
"Oh that was so three years ago!"
I always forgot that Zoe was only fifteen. Her huge attitude really added to her age.
"More like six years ago for me..." Calum chuckled. "So who wants to go first?"
"Fine, I will. Crystal, truth or dare?" Zoe smirked.
I'd honestly never played truth or dare before but how hard could it be?
"Dare," I responded, trying to be confident.
"I dare you to punch the wall," Zoe chuckled.
I didn't get why that would be a funny dare but I guess the rules were you couldn't get out of the dare.
I got to my feet and found a certain wall and punched it, not as hard as I could, but hard enough for it to count as fulfilling the dare.
What I didn't count on was my fist going right through the wall. Oh my god, I just damaged their house.
I pulled my fist out and groaned. "I'm sorry guys for ruining your house."
But even although I was as serious as could be, Zoe and Calum burst out laughing and I blinked, a little surprised.
Maybe it was a alright that I'd ruined their wall? I quickly masked my apologetic look with a smug smile and sat back down.
"Calum, truth or dare?"
"Dare."
The edge of his lips twisted into a smirk and I looked up, embarrassed when I realised that he'd caught me staring at his lips.
"I dare you to throw that chair, since we seem to be ruining your house..." I shrugged.
Calum shrugged as if it was the easiest thing ever. He got to his feet, picked up the chair and pretended to throw it at Zoe who covered her face with her hands to defend herself.
She quickly realised nothing was happening and flicked her hair, acting as if she knew Calum wasn't going to throw the chair.
