"I still don't get why she's mad," Calum's voice trailed on. "But then again, it's Zoe, she gets pissed and pretty much anything,"
"But I shouldn't have been so forceful and stuff," I muttered, crossing my arms over my chest and bringing my legs onto the couch and crossing them.
"Eh, blame who you want. I blame Zoe," he shrugged carelessly and he muttered something under his breath that sounded a lot like. "I blame Zoe for everything,"
I laughed weakly and leaned back into the couch. After an hour of sulking and feeling sorry for myself, I realized it was still the weekend and that it was my break and that I'd sulk and feel pathetic at school.
So who did I invite over? Calum of course...
I probably would've invited Sadie over, except I didn't have her number and I wasn't sure if we were classified as friends who went over to each other's houses yet. I'd talk to her at school and see if I could get to know her better.
"I got you to laugh," Calum fist pumped and offered me a small smile. I grabbed the glass cup with water in it and began to take a sip. "Next is getting you to think about kissing me again?"
It was so sudden that I choked on the glass of water and I dropped it and it shattered over the floor and I scoffed, completely forgetting about what Calum had said.
"What are you Holmes trying to get me to do? Smash every little culinary object I own?" I laughed a little as I made sure my feet stayed out of the smashed glass.
"Oh my god- I'm so sorry- I just- oh my god..." his voice trailed off and he just looked so awkward sitting there. He'd had a sudden burst of confidence and that had obviously been shattered along with the glass cup.
"Ouch! Sweet mother of-" I waved my hands and he stopped mid-sentence. I didn't want Calum to turn into his swearing sister. "Ow," his mouth shape turned to a circle and then it closed as if he were deciding whether to express his pain or to be quiet about it.
"What happened?" I asked. I'll admit I was a little concerned.
Oh hell to it, I was concerned and the look of pain on his face was making me stress.
"What the hell is wrong?" I snapped out of worry.
"There's glass in my foot and oh my fricken god-" I snatched his foot and he let out an unmanly squeal. If the situation wasn't so serious I would've burst out laughing.
"Holy crackers," I gaped. The glass was just sticking out... oh my god. I couldn't even.
"Call 911," he whimpered. I, being the cold-hearted person I am, whacked him softly over the head.
"Its Australia dumbie, 000," I reminded him, clutching my phone and dialling the number. While it rang, I told him to move off the carpet and onto the uncarpeted part of my house.
What? I didn't want him staining my carpet with blood.
The person picked up, or the robot did, asking me which emergency system I needed. I told them ambulance and I told the person who picked up my address. "Please come quickly, I don't want him bleeding on my floor,"
I admit, that may have been a little unsympathetic but I hung up before they could reply. I then walked over to where Calum and his little blood pool were beginning to form.
"You'll be fine," I told him, patting his shoulder and he winced. His eyes suddenly lit up and he looked at me with huge puppy dog eyes.
For some reason, I could read his mind, not literally but just... yeah.
