Jaemin closes his laptop and takes out his phone. He, Jisung, and Taeil were still at the library because Jaehyun was probably going down on Taeyong. Or at least, that's what Jaemin figured. Jaemin finally finished all his homework and now he could just sit back and relax. But, of course, that wasn't gonna happen.

Mark:
Jaemin...I need you to do something for me

Jaemin:
Ok? Whats up

Mark:
It's jeno...i'm on a call with him rn and he's...he isnt ok Jaemin

Jaemin's eyes widen at the text, his heart slowly filling with worry.

Jaemin:

What's wrong?

Mark:
His family life is kinda shitty- i wont say anything too personal but his mom hasn't been home all week and it's getting to him..

Jaemin:
oh...
What do you need me for though..i mean you're his best friend

Mark:
Youre his soulmate

Jaemin:
yeah...
He like hates me tho, he def wouldnt wanna see me

Mark:
He doesnt hate you Jaemin

Jaemin:
?

Mark:
He told me himself that he doesnt hate you-

Jaemin waits a moment as the three dots continue to show as Mark types.

Mark:

Jaemin i need you to get to his house like now..youre his soulmate, and you both may not realize it,, but everything is better when your soulmate is there

Jaemin pauses, taking a moment to think. On one hand, Jaemin wanted to go and help Jeno, it's what his heart told him to do. On the other hand...Jaemin was confused. Yeah sure, they were soulmates but Jeno really didn't like him. At least, that's what he thought.

Mark:

Thank you jaemin- i'll stay on my call with him but tell me when youre close to his house

Jaemin:
Ok

Jaemin locks his phone and stands, grabbing his backpack in the process. "Jisung...I'm heading out."

The younger turns around from the table he was sitting at and looks up at Jaemin. "But Taeil didn't tell us we could go home yet."

"I'm not going home...I'm going to a friend's house. I'll be back by tonight, well, maybe. I'll let you know, ok?" Jaemin pats Jisung on the head before walking off to Taeil, letting him know that he was leaving.

Thankfully, Jeno didn't live too far from the library, so it wasn't a hard walk for Jaemin. It wasn't dark out either, so when he was about 5 minutes away, he texts Mark.

Jaemin:
Im almost there
....is he ok

Mark:
He's....calm but not in a good mind set rn
He can get like this sometimes..or a lot of the time actually
