I HAD WOKEN up early that morning due to the rest I had gotten the night before. I was in the parlor writing in my diary when I heard a knock at the front door. I jumped up and walked to get it, however Damon beat me to the door. The person who answered was Jeremy, Elena's younger brother.

"I need to talk to you," Jeremy started, putting his bag strap on his shoulder. His eyes widened as he saw me, apparently only just realizing I was right there. Determined, huh. He's not a baby, I'll give him that. He's also got a strong scent to him... It's that human blood... I'm gaining back my normal vampiric abilities, the ones I had before the animal blood polluted and diluted them.

"And why do I need to talk to you?" Damon asked, closing the door on Jer. I was about to step in and open it back up if Damon closed it, but Jeremy actually beat me to it, because he stopped Damon before he could close it, pushing the door back open.

"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet," Jeremy explained. Elena's little bro is actually trying to help us. I definitely have some respect for the guy, I always have. He puts up with all of us, and on top of that, he knows some of us are vampires. I couldn't imagine a better guy, especially now that he's started to drink Coke instead of snort it.

"Wow, fascinating. Not enough," Damon said, being mockingly sarcastic. He started to shut the door again, but Jeremy pushed back just like he had done before. Man, I love this kid. He's got some guts, and I admire that.

"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here," Jeremy continued, this time giving us very valuable information. Information we hadn't known yet. I would be more invested in the conversation, if I didn't smell his blood very strongly as the scent travelled around my body. I wanted to drink him, but I... I couldn't...

"A moonstone?" Damon questioned. My arms were getting chill bumps.

"And I know where it is," Jeremy added, very proud of himself. My ears were beginning to ring.

"And you're bringing me this why?" Damon asked, and if I didn't feel so overwhelmingly thirsty, I'd correct him: "Us." They looked at me. I said that out loud. Oops. I could feel my body getting hot.

"Do I need a reason? Look, I just want to help, okay?" Jeremy continued, ignoring my outburst. My hands were getting sweaty now.

"What's your sister say about this little discovery?" Damon asked. I gulped. I didn't know how long I could stay with Jeremy in there... The need for his blood was unbearable. I couldn't leave in the middle of the conversation for a blood bag, they'd get worried. I could hold myself back. "Oh, you haven't told her, have you?" Damon concluded, at Jeremy's guilty silence.
