{14} "Where's Elena?"

Today was the day that we told Elena about Rose being on our side. I already knew that I wasn't going to go well, but I can at least hope a little. I'd understand why Elena would end up being upset, though. Rose did kidnap the two of us. Stefan and I could hear Damon and Elena conversing so we decided to join them with Rose close behind us. I just hope that this all goes well.

"Hey." Stefan greeted when we arrived. Elena turned to us. I gave her a smile and a wave.

Elena adjusted the strap of her bag, "What is this about?" It was then that Rose decided to show herself. As expected, Elena was not happy. She was staring at Rose with narrowed eyes, "You." Rose gave her a meek smile and a small wave.

"Don't freak out," I quickly told her. I didn't want to have to deal with a full-on argument. We just needed Elena to understand. "She's on our side now. Let's go to the living room. Rose is going to tell us what she knows about the Originals."

The five of us headed to the living room. Elena sat down on the couch and I sat beside her. I was hoping that my presence would comfort her a little. I knew it was going to take a bit before she starts fully trusting Rose. Thankfully, Elena was being silent and listening to Rose's story.

"Okay," Rose started, "You have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true," Rose was pacing back and forth in front of us, "It's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real." I could feel a shiver go down my spine at hearing this. It was hard to believe, but after meeting Elijah, I knew it had to be true. I always thought that the Originals were just a scary story that vampires like to tell other vampires, but I guess not.

"Who is he?" Elena asked.

"Someone we thought was only a story." I crossed my arms. I was practically hugging myself at this point. The possibility of the Originals being real terrified me. I have heard so many horror stories about them. Most of them being about Klaus.

"He's one of the Originals, he's a legend." Damon also replied.

"From the first generation of vampires," Stefan added.

"Like Elijah?" Elena inquired.

"No," Rose responded. "Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." If the stories I heard were true then this was right. Elijah was the calmest one out of all the Originals. He's the most loyal and he's been said to always keep his promises. Klaus was the one who would backstab you without hesitation. He would kill someone without even thinking about it.
