17- Happy Ending?

[Bill's pov]

"Thanks for bringing me home Bill," says Stanley after they all stop with the huge group hug.

"No problem babe," I reply.

Stanley feels his phone vibrate and grabs it out of his pocket. "Hello?" he says into it. 

We couldn't hear a lot of what the person on the other line was saying but it must have been a lecture, because Stanley stayed quiet, every now and then saying "mhmmm", "sorry", and "yes".

After a minute Stanley hung up the phone. "It was my dad," he says. "Apparently my mom called him all angry and telling me I was an idiot for leaving. He also said that mom's willing to make a deal. She's going to move back to Maine, just not Derry, if I agree to go with her every weekend. I have to call her if I want to do it. Should I?" 

"Yes!" we all say, looking at him like he was insane. 

"This means you can stay Stan," says Mike. "And you can still talk to us on the weekends."

"Your mom is willing to do that for you?" I say rather sadly. 

"I guess so," Stanley replied shrugging. "Why do you sound so sad?"

"Well," I begin, but then I shake my head. "No reason. I don't know why I said it like that."

"There has to be a reason," Eddie says in his matter-of-fact tone.

"C'mon Billy. You've known us for long enough. Right?" Richie adds.

"Well... Umm... Ok so just before G-Georgie died my mom left, and she never came back or visited us or had us visit but let's not focus on stuff in the past right now," I said in one breath.

"I'm sorry, Bill," says Bev. 

"That's fine, what matters now is that Stanley's home. Hopefully for good," I reply.

Stanley left the room to go call his mom and tell her that he agreed.

Life is good. Stanley's staying. And I'm happy.

I have a really good way to finish off this story so I'm going to make a Trequel don't worry, it should be up later today.

update: january 16th, this is going to be the ending because i lost inspo for the trequel and the chapters i put up sucked, so i deleted it

basically beverly and ben end up married, stanley and bill end up married, and of course richie and eddie end up married
