This book is actually based off of my parents, with a fictional twist, of course. My dad is a veteran, which is why I thought it'd be interesting to try and write things from his perspective. I've only seen a small fraction of what my dad, and other veterans go through, and I have the upmost respect for them.
This book series will be my way of saying thank you to my dad, as well as all of the other veterans. If you know a veteran, please, thank them for their service and immense acts of bravery.
I've also seen what my mother went through, during her time being married to a veteran. Judging only by what I've seen, it's not easy being married to one. That's why I'd also like to thank my mother for doing her best to give me a normal childhood, despite everything being anything but normal.
