#11 His Older Brother's Turn

 

 

Blaze’s POV

 

 

Love polygon, that’s how I will describe their situation.

Light is into Heart, Heart is into Ice, Ice is into Heart, and Sandy’s into Ice.

Light -> Heart <-> Ice <- Sandy

Those two at the end of the chain are bound to suffer because of this two at the middle. How interesting.

But I bet that Ice still hadn’t confessed to Heart, because if he already did, then he would have thanked me for my advice.

But how about Light? Had he confessed to Heart? Maybe not. Light’s not the frank type, it’s Ice, so I bet Ice will be able to confront Heart sooner about his feelings.

I can’t be biased to any of them, because they’re both my younger brother, and I have to guide them both so that one of them will end up with the right person in the end.

And then there’s Sandy, the forbidden love. How did I know it? Frankly, we know each other the longest, that’s why I know if she holds any feelings for someone. And she was the fierce type of girl, pretending to be strong in front of others, when in fact, she just wants someone to love and cherish her.

She can’t say no to Ice, so I assumed that she loves Ice, not only as a cousin, but as a man. She can say no to anyone, and she can beat them to death if she wants to, but when it comes to Ice, she’s just like any other girl, innocent and stupid.

Don’t mistake me for having any feelings for Sandy, it’s just that I’m a really clever person, and I know how this "thing" works. I know how someone looks at somebody with love painted all over his/her face. I know that simple smile means something deeper to the person who had given that smile, and I know that stealing a glance from afar means you can't get enough of looking at him/her.

I know it all because I was once a slave of love.

But first, I’ve got to go to the root of this problem, and that’s Heart. I have to know who she will choose, although it’s given that she will choose Ice, there’s still this possibility that we can’t ignore, and that’s the possibility of her falling in love with Light, therefore, choosing Light in the end.

What a troublesome person! She got both my brothers under her charm, and she doesn’t even know it.

I decided to call her, even though it’s this late. I just hope that she’s still awake.

“I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to suddenly hung-up on the call! I was just surprised, that’s all! I was so shocked that you knew my number, and that you even called at this very late hour. Dad will scold me for still being awake,” I heard her sigh on the other line.

What a noisy girl! And who is she referring to? I haven’t introduced myself yet. It seems like she was expecting me. Or was it someone else and she was just mistaken?

“Light, you still there?” An evil smile curved on my lips.

So, that’s what I had thought! The possibility of Heart falling in love with Light is not truly impossible!

I hadn’t known that Light had already made a move towards Heart. Such bravery! I applaud him for that, but this spells trouble for Ice.

“Hey, why aren’t you--”

“This is not, Light, Heart,” I emphasized the word Light. She sounded surprised.

Well, if she hadn’t talked too much, she had known earlier that I am not Light. I wonder what those two brothers of mine loved about this girl? She’s just so… Innocent, to the point that it makes her look so stupid.

 

 

“Then who are you--” I cut her again.

How I love to tease this girl!

“This is Light and Ice’s brother, Blaze. Hello, Heart. How are you?” I smirked.

This is just the start of the fun!

“H-Hello to you too, Blaze! I-I’m fine. W-Why did you call?”

She’s even stammering! How cute! She’s so tensed that she even pretended that I hadn’t heard anything. I wonder how things are going to turn out after this call.

“Can I ask why you had mistaken me for Light? And did I hear it right? You dropped the line on Light? How impolite…”

“No! It was just an accident! It was not my intention--”

“Well, I’m just kidding. Please don’t be so defensive. Anyway, the reason why I called you is because I have something to ask from you,” the other line went silent.

She’s interested. She’s into the conversation. Good girl!

“Tell me, I’m listening, and please make it straight to the point…”

“I don’t plan on holding back either,” I paused for a bit. I think she sounds a bit annoyed now. “Ice or Light? A friendly advice though, just choose one, and set the other one free. That will settle it all,” I heard her heaved a sigh.

“Why do I need to tell you who I am going to choose? Are we even close to think that I will be comfortable enough talking to you about this thing? I think I deserve to keep my private life as it is, private. And excuse me, I’ve got no patience for people who has a pride as high as the mountains. Thank you for wasting my time. Goodnight,” then she cut the line.

Now that’s what you call fierce!

I looked at the screen of my phone.

Who’s going to be the winner in this love polygon? And who will end up with whom? Who’s going to be crying in the end?

I now have a clue, but I’m not planning on spilling it. Now the game’s officially started!

I dialled a number.

“Hello, good evening. Be ready for tomorrow. I’ve got guests coming up,” then I ended the call and smirked. Time to play!
