Confused I was to say the least, I watched as we drove past multiple street lamps guiding us deeper into the city.
To my surprise, this was the time where everyone came out. Where the streets were full of life.
We had been driving for about 15 minutes at this point, the night life of Portland was beautiful.

After what seemed like endless driving down roads, Tyler pulled into a car park.
There were quite a few cars dotted around.
I stared at the two buildings at the other end of the car park.
One was Target and the other an elegant romantic restaurant.
I felt my lip twitch, "So um which building are we here for?" I asked him.

"Definitely Target," his lips formed into a smirk, "Yes we are here for the restaurant."

I looked at the restaurant, then to him, then back to the restaurant and then back to him.

"Tyler a reservation at this place costs loads! Plus," I pointed at my outfit, "I'm still in my work clothes!" I exclaimed.
I skimmed across my attire that was most definitely not suitable for a dressy dinner.

He laughed, "I brought one of your dresses with me, you can go change in the toilets whilst I grab our table."
With that, he got out of the car and whizzed round to open the door for me.

How courteous.

He then took my hand and led me towards the restaurant.

Once inside, the interior was magnificent.
There were several chandeliers dotted across the restaurant and there were rows upon rows of tables topped with fine cutlery.
There was classical music playing, performed live by a string quartet.

It wasn't really my crowd, but tonight I would make an exception.

Tyler handed me a bag and nodded towards the direction of the restroom.

The amazement continued all the way into the toilet, for starters, it was impeccably clean.
There were some funky taps and vanity's, well too posh for me.

I locked myself into a cubicle and climbed out of my work clothes and into my dress.
Tyler has chosen my long elegant jet black one that had a slit along the thigh and a criss cross on the back.
He had also popped in a pair of black heels.

I hate heels.
I struggle in them but I supposed they matched, so I slipped them on anyway.

I unlocked the cubicle and went over to one of the many vanities.
I brushed through my hair thoroughly giving it some silky ness to it.
I applied a little mascara and lipstick before attaching on a pair of silver earrings.
I finished off my look with one of the perfumes provided in the restroom.

It was scented vanilla almost with a hint of floral.

Carefully, I trotted over towards the table where Tyler was sitting at.
I tried my best to keep my balance the whole time, I'm not the best at walking in heels.

I stopped right in front of the table.

"Wow." Was all Tyler could say after 30 seconds of looking at me.
I felt myself blush a little.

"Nice dress choice." I said approvingly and did a little twirl letting the dress flow around my ankles.

He stood up and got out of his chair, he came over to my side of the table.

He pulled out my chair for me and ushered me to sit down, "How gentleman like of you." I chuckled as he resumed his place in front of me.

I took one of the menus and scanned through the multiple dish choices.

There were dishes like:
Oysters and Caviar.
Saffron Risotto and prawns topped with gold leaf.
Smoked Eel with apple.

What ridiculous food. We should have stuck with something more simple.
In the end, after a long time deciding, I went with smoked salmon with asparagus.
