Ouch.

My head was pounding, it felt like a hangover but just a lot worse.

There was a loud ringing sound splitting through my ears before it began to fix itself up into voices .

On the other hand, my vision blurred. I could only just see the flashing red, blue and white lights but even then, I couldn't distinguish what was real and what wasn't.

I didn't know a lot about death.

I was never afraid of it, but I never wished it upon myself or others.

They say that when you die, it's peaceful. You're healthy and happy.

Free.

Then why was I in the most agonizing pain ever?

"She's lost blood, a lot of it but her pulse is still strong." I didn't recognize the voice.

"I think she has a concussion, be careful with her head." As if on cue, I felt someone jolt my head to the side.

The ringing in my ears just grew louder.

"Can you hear me?"

"Miss, if you can hear me, can you tell me your name?"

I tried to find my voice to reply but I just couldn't.

I moved my head to my left, only a fraction, but crap it hurt.

I lifted my fingers to apply pressure to my forehead but instead they met a warm, sticky liquid.

What?

I brought my finger down to eye level and strained my eyes open.

I caught a glimpse of the dark crimson fluid that had stained them.

Ugh.

Blood.

"She's responsive and awake we need to move her now! What about the other one?" The voice was now yelling.

Be quiet.

I want to sleep.

I heard a feminine voice, "He's completely unconscious and his pulse is weak. He needs immediate surgery."

Wait.

The other one.

Memories of events came flooding back.

Tyler.

"Tyler." I murmured, my voice breathless.

"Sorry miss what was that?" The voice asked softly.

"My..my fiance..Tyler.." I gasped back.

And then, once again, I was engulfed in darkness.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was 100% sure I was dreaming.
Mainly because I felt happy, but it felt wrong to be happy?
Why did it feel wrong to be happy?
And then there was a sudden pain in my head, and I was no longer happy.
My vision was replaced with a strong bright light. I tilted my head, I was in a whitewashed room. There was a constant rhythmic beep that lingered in the background. I attempted to perch myself up but i hadn't until now realized the growing ache in my chest as well as the throbbing in my head. Oh, what a messed up dream.
"Ouch." I grumbled.
Then out of nowhere I felt a pair of cool hands wrapped around me, "Oh Nat thank god you are alright!"
I knew that voice.
It was my mum's.
"Mum, what are you doing here, where am I?" I asked bewildered, her head still buried into my hair.
