Too warm, she felt too warm. Christy woke up wanting to tare her clothes off. When she opened her eyes she found out the reason. She had, sometime during the night, pushed the bed sheets to the floor and she was now wrapped in Deans arms.
Their feet were tangled, her head on his chest, where she could hear his very rhythmic heartbeats and he was like a furnace.
But the realization that she was in his arms, although it surprised her, made her feel safe. And knowing the reason for the heat she decided that she could take it, so instead of untangling herself from his embrace she moved closer wrapping her arms around him tighter.
An hour later when she woke up she was sleeping alone but covered with the sheets.
She woke startled and for a second she thought that Dean had left. But then her thinking ability returned and she realized that he couldn't have left since Garcia was waiting outside and she decided that Garcia might be a blessing in disguise after all. She should send him a gift basket.
Then she heard the shower in her bathroom. He was taking a shower! Oh for God's sake could this get any weirder? Not that she minded. Not at all. It was that he was making himself feel at home, and she realized that it had something to do with the decision they took yesterday to "pretend" to be dating for Matt's sake.
Ugh! Morning breath Christy thought and she rushed to wash her mouth and brush her teeth but as she got to her bathroom door she remembered its occupant and rushed instead to her adoptive parents' bathroom.
She returned barely before he opened the bathroom door and came out brushing the water beads from his hair with one of her pink towels.
He was wearing a suit and it was weird to see him this dressed up. As she sat on her bed she looked him over. His long legs were of perfect proportions with the rest of his body.
Her eyes shifted to his muscled torso that flexed with each move he made drying his hair. His mouth was...smirking! Her eyes darted to his beautiful smiling honey eyes and she knew that he had caught her gaping at him and checking him out.
Oh the humiliation! But it wasn't complete yet. He had to go and ask.
"Had your fill yet?" As he dropped the towel and his smile widened.
"I was just wondering when you had the time to get your tux and come back without Garcia seeing you." She lied smoothly trying to hide her reaction as if he couldn't see her burning red cheeks.
"And..." she added as a precaution,"I was wondering why were you dressed up at..." she looked at the clock on her nightstand, "eighty thirty in the morning?" But before he had the time to answer she cut him off again.
"And, who allowed you to take a bath in my bathroom?"
Instead of being annoyed he chuckled lightheartedly.
"So you're one of those are you?"He asked cryptically.
"One of what?" She asked confused.
"One of those who wake up cranky in the morning." He clarified.
Oh no he didn't! "Cranky?" She squeaked, "I'm not cranky. I'm just trying to understand the madness around me. And where is my mother?"She stood from her bed and headed for the door going to search for her mother.
"She's not here." He said stopping her in her tracks. "She left to complete her grocery shopping. She is the one who gave me this suit. In fact," he clarified. "It was your father's."
"My father couldn't fit in that suit even if he was squashed by a road roller then rolled into a sandwich."She contradicted him immediately and he laughed at her description. She was acting bizarrely she knew it but she desperately wanted to preserve her heart and break the intimacy she was feeling that had intensified since last night.
