I bit my lip as I read the words on my screen. They read as follows:

"Good evening Mallory! I'm sure you've noticed that this app isn't like other apps. There are a few rules to this app. they are as follows:

1) When we give you instructions, you MUST follow them or there will be consequences

2) No trying to get rid of the app in any way. Whether it's trying to delete it or getting a new phone, or there will be consequences.

3) Once you are deemed worthy, you will be released and be able to live your life safely with one exception.

4) Once deemed worthy and set free, you will not be able to help any future participants of this little test or there will be consequences. Trust us you'll know when you meet one.

Now onto your first set of instructions. Yesterday, you may recall the worker Justin at the electronic store. He is a former one of our testers. He is also your first victim. He has helped multiple of our testers since he was deemed worthy six months ago and now it's time for him to pay. Your first test is to kill him, but not in just any way. You must use the poison one of our agents left in your kitchen while you were at work. Good luck tester 021603.

My heart was racing. How the hell am I supposed to do this I thought to myself. I took a deep breath before heading into the kitchen. When I walked through the door, the first thing I noticed was a vile of a green liquid labeled Poison. I walked over to it and picked it up. How did they get into my house? I thought to myself

After deciding it was useless to try and figure it out, I thought of ways to get out of killing an innocent man. What if I just drink it? I mean if it's actually poison it'll kill me and I won't have to worry about doing what this stupid app tells me to, I thought to myself.

I opened the vile and put the lid on the counter. "Bottoms up," I said to myself before putting the vile to my lips.

Before I could go any farther, I heard a knock on my door. I sighed and put the lid back on before hiding the vile in the silverware drawer. "Who is it?" I called as I walked over to the door.

"Justin, from the electronic store," the person answered.

How does he know where I live? I thought to myself. I opened the door and saw Justin holding a card in his hand. He held it out to me. "Someone found this in the cushion of one of the chairs," he said.

I took the card. "Thank you, " I said, "How do you know where I live?"

He bit his lip. "That's hard to explain," he replied.

I motioned for him to come in. He follows me to the kitchen. I take out some Koolaid and a cup before turning to him. "Would you like some?"

He nodded his head, blushing. I took out another cup and poured some in both cups. The silverware drawer was blocked from his view by my legs, so I opened it and took out a spoon and the vial. Quickly shutting it, I dumped the poison in his cup before taking some sugar out of the cupboard and pretending to sprinkle it in the cups. "Thank you," he said as I handed him the cup.

"Now start explaining," I said, taking a sip from my cup.

"So, my great uncle lives down the street from here," he began, "This morning I went over to check on him since he's kind of old and stuff, and as I was driving down the road I saw you leaving your house"

"That's bullshit."

"What?"

"You heard me. The only person even close to being old on this street is Mr. Williams and he's only 47."

"Oh"

I smirked as he took a sip of his juice. He went to go speak before freezing. The cup shattered as it crashed to the ground. His eyes widened and his hand flew up to his throat. His eyes rolled to the back of his head before he fell to the ground. Well, that was easy, I thought to myself before gasping.

I looked down at the body as I realized what I just did. Only one thought could cross my mind as I stared at the corpse.

Holy shit, am I a fucking murderer now?
