Eli & Rox: chapter 6

chapter six

"huh? what are you talking about?" confusion played on her face.

he pushed her back to get a good look, "i felt you calling me. what happened?"

"i didn't call you."

"yeah you did. i could feel you calling me and you sounded really desperate and sad like you was in trouble or somethin... in my head.. i felt you.. " he trailed off. "rox whats going on?"

"i.. i dont know. but i thin..i can make things come to me.."

"so.. you made me come to you?"

"no.. i.. just look." and once again she commanded her ipod to come to her. it did.

eli's eyes widened in surprise.

she then commanded her phone to come to her. and then the remote. and then a pair of her jeans.

"see? cool huh."

"yeah." he replied awed. "is that why you called me though? i mean you sounded really sad but you don't look it.."

"honestly, eli i don't-" but then she remembered right after she'd commanded her ipod and iphone to go away how lonely she'd felt and how desperately she'd wished eli was with her in that moment.

 "oh." she said looking at him blankly, her mind was on other things.

"oh?"

"well, i think i may have called you but not intentionally- i swear. like when i found out what i can do i was feeling a little.. confused? no, wary. and i just wished some one was here with me..." she didn't mention that it was him specifically who she wanted.

"holy shit!" she gasped, "i can like communicate with you.. without a phone.. like mentally.. without even trying.. i can make things come to me.. oh my god this is scary !.. why is this happening.. witc.." she babbled.

"this is amazing, rox, but listen I've got to get back to William or he's gonna kill me. so please calm down and ill be back in an hour." she nodded vaguely and stared into the distance. he kissed her head and then vamoosed.

10 minutes later Eli was back.

he collapsed on the bed, his body trembling violently.

blood was seeping out his shirt and onto the sheets. his body spasmed with pain and his jaw was tight- so tight. a low moan escaped the back of his throat.

rox who still hadn't moved from the window snapped her head up upon his arrival.

she took one look at his blood stained shirt . "ELI !" she screamed. and sprinted to him. her heart hammering in her chest.

 unsteadily she bent down next to him and unbuttoned his shirt her fingers shaking.

there was a large bullet wound on his chest- a great deal of blood was oozing out of it.

she drew in a ragged breath.

what the hell happened and what the fuck was she gonna do?? she didn't know jack about first aid.

"oh my god eli, what the fuck happened? what do i do??"

"don't worry, " he whispered, his eyes were squezzed tight. "it'll go away in a couple of hours- it'll heal itself."

rox looked away feeling sick. she ran to the bathroom and got some towels, warm water, painkillers, antiseptic and bandages.

she sat down beside him careful not to move the bed and slowly started cleaning the wound so he wouldn't get infected- that much she did know. after she was done she passed him some pain killers but he shook his head.

"they don't work on me- vamp. remember." she looked away feeling totally helpless. she didn't know what else to do. 

eli tugged on her hand gently and tried to smile, a grimace was the outcome, however.

 "don't worry." he whispered. "I'll be fine." sweat gleamed on his forehead making his hair stick to his forehead. she brushed his hair away from his eyes panicking,

what the hell was going on?? she wanted to ask him but knew she couldn't. not until he'd healed. there was no way he'd be able to talk in his state.

"shh, try to sleep." she whispered back scared she might cry if she tried to raise her voice.

"OK but only for a couple of hours," he replied, his breaths coming out jaggedly. "we need to be ready.. he knows." and with a pained sigh he closed his eyes, gave her hand a weak squeeze and was instantly asleep.

we need to be ready ?

ready for what ?

who knows?

and what exactly do they know? she thought her mind racing...

OK so i know this chapter's like all over the place but in my defense ive written 2 times & it still wont come out right.

so ive given up & am now focusing on the next chapter- i promise it'll be better than this one!
