Jax drove Nova to his apartment. She was still in her daze and he wanted to make sure she was okay. To find out why she collapsed in the first place. It had to be for the war or Daunt doing her job. He knew a lot more about her and what was happening than she did. He worked for Daunt. Nova did too but she didn't remember. They grew up together in Chrystler, when the prophecy of war they were sent out with a mission or job. He had to do his job.
He knew Nova was awake when he heard a huge gasp from the backseat.
"Hey sleeping beauty" he said
"Ow!, Not funny Jax"
He peeked at the rear view mirror. Nova was lying down in the back her hand rubbing her head. "What happened?"
"I don't know?" She asked as if confused she didn't know.
Jax knew what she heard but once again couldn't say sworn to secrecy, by Daunt he couldn't reveal anything or he'd be removed... which meant he wouldn't feel any emotions, he wouldn't be able to control movements or anything. he would be Daunt's puppet. The idea was sickening, doing her dirty deeds for her.
"Ow Jax, do you have any aspirin?"
" At my house, I want to make sure you're okay. "
"Whatever" she said every word sounding like pain.
He wanted to make it go away, he could but he want here for that. He really took her with him to save her, to do his mission farther.
He pulled into his driveway then opened the door for Nova. He tried to help her out but she waved him off, instead of going to the couch, she leaned on the table.
Jax put the bottle of aspirin in front of her but she only pushed it away. "I'm okay."
"No you're not" He pressed his lips to hers. He brushed his hands up her arms. He felt a huge wave of relief as she put her arms around his neck, which based on her size want much of a reach. He felt dizzy as he pulled her closer then remembered to breath through his nose. She pulled away from his lips but stayed in his arm "Jax, I, I remember. I remember everything!" She kissed him again. He was just happy that it worked she remembered. But now he was happy she accepted him as something more.
